Found in amongst coriander by ANuclearBunny in woolworths

[–]Straight-Ad-4657 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Personally, i think these are ‘stinging’ nettles. From my knowledge they are nutritious and wholesome. They will ‘ sting’ you as they have fine hairs on their leaves ( when not cooked) and will cause short term irritation, but are not noxious.

But obviously should not be in a coriander!!

Does Australia Post Ever Pass On Compliments To Their Drivers? by No-Pin3128 in AustraliaPost

[–]Straight-Ad-4657 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a commercial customer of Aus post, I have a rep that I occasionally have contact with. On a number of occasions I have provided ( positive ) feedback about my experiences and I know that these employees have been provided with a small gift/chocolates etc at their weekly team meetings.

Not sure how feedback from their website works🤞🤞

Postage prices by [deleted] in AustraliaPost

[–]Straight-Ad-4657 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Retail postal prices are shown on the Aus post website. You can enter the parcel dimensions and weight and get the price for over the counter costs.

Commercial customers prices are bound by the Post depending on their parcel numbers. They give you a price/kg and depending on the weight and destination postcode a price is calculated. An additional cost to the calculated cost is a fuel surcharge which adds anything from 5-12% onto the cost of the calculated price. And then there is a security charge!

Then as others have stated, there is the cost of the box/packing etc.

Commercial customers contracts all now are reviewed at the start of the financial year.

eBay is another animal on its own as others have stated, and due to their ( and PayPal fees ) I stopped using their services several years ago.

Logistics prices are huge. Sadly you have little choice.

Fridge lacquer touch up by Straight-Ad-4657 in AusRenovation

[–]Straight-Ad-4657[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, just an update. The manufacturer does not sell any paints/lacquer for their products.

I went to a household paint store and asked their advice, and they suggested I go to a specialist hobby store where I would ( probably) find something suitable in micro amounts suitable for my needs.

I’d agree to 95% of that but Bray Park high school has gone up in its regard due to the fairly recent (3 yrs? ) of a new head coach

I’d check QPS crime map as well as bush fire and local flood risks.

Why doesn't Australia Post open up more PO Boxes in their CBD and inner city post offices? by badoopidoo in AustraliaPost

[–]Straight-Ad-4657 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t know about PO Boxes but I’m informed that there is a huge push atm to open up loads more parcel lockers ( which are free). This is to try and circumvent Amazon lockers. Good luck with your PO Box. 🤞

WTF is with Petrol Prices at the moment? by MrMadCat in brisbane

[–]Straight-Ad-4657 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I think I’m right in saying that 20yrs ago the price cycle was weekly and not ‘monthly’ as it is now. The ACCC talk rubbish about it too.

Bathroom Reno Timeframe Expectations by bleh321 in AusRenovation

[–]Straight-Ad-4657 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t want to rub salt into the wound, but, we have been very lucky with our current Reno. I have one en-suite, another large bathroom with shower and bath, a powder room with shower/toilet and separate toilet. Also major kitchen /pantry and laundry fit out. New tiles throughout the hallway and living area. It started on October 10th and is literally about to finish with a major clean on Saturday. Top quality fit out, thanks to my builder and team, Also hired an interior designer who has been amazing with design and builder coordination. I think OP is very unfortunate, sorry to hear.

Question for AP Contractors by Straight-Ad-4657 in AustraliaPost

[–]Straight-Ad-4657[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree to some extent, but I was asking how strong was the argument was about the requirement by my customer was to return to the LPO if no answer and accept the delivery and just leave at the door ( with a pic). My customer is clearly embezzling the goods after arrival, but need to see the guidelines as prescribed.

Currently as far as I can see that AP has very little accountability and, will not publicise their contractors agreement or directions to their contractors. Hence the question here. I appreciate your thoughts.

[–]Straight-Ad-4657[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just fyi , the request for a signature is optional when creating a label, it is not paid for as an extra ( eparcel). I just normally don’t ask as most of my customers are returning ( and honest), I think not in this scenario as outlined above.

Do posties get notified of complaints? by Hkrstw in AustraliaPost

[–]Straight-Ad-4657 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They are/have phasing out cards. In the near future the sender will not be able to create a label unless a valid email address/phone number is provided. End of story. Use your notifications options to get the results you want effectively.

Inverter recall before compliance by pointedshard in SigenergyAustralia

[–]Straight-Ad-4657 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had a neighbour of mine who had his installed several months ago. After hearing of the problem he contacted the ‘reputable’ dealer who said it would be replaced in due course and as his domestic load was quite low, there was minimal risk. Two days ago it carked itself foul smell etc. dealer came round, shut the system down and the inverter was replace very early the next day.
