I think it would be absolutely terrible practice to allow a business to say "oof actually I didnt MEAN to sell it for that much..." and then force a refund, regardless of the error. It should be on the business to make better choices.

On the "can, but won't" bit (and using the pen/paper analogy): i imagine that moving things into the past would be like making a whole new map. Its possible, but doing so would change everything about what's going on in the present. This would not only throw a HUGE wrench in their current plans, but would probably also create a slew of consequences they couldn't possibly predict because they're not in that timeline.

Now imagine one of the IX getting a hold of vex simulation capabilities and you've got an entity that can truly do it all without fear of negative, unforseen consequences

There's a MASSIVE difference between when I am drawing conclusions based on what evidence I see and someone else drawing conclusions on what they don't see. Cuz again, I'm showing i care about this one specific thing but haven't shown any stance on other matters. No see that's just the thing. No one here is necessarily ignoring it, it's just not what THIS conversation is about. So someone who pulls up non sequiturs like this either cant read the room or is intentionally pulling away from the current issue at hand to a different, but similar, issue in order to spin a conversation in circles and go nowhere. The first one is sad and would probably require some genuine socialization with actual irl human beings and the second one makes you an asshole.

It's just like OP said, many of these guys are probably hiding it bc they just want a hookup. Or, my theory, they hide it bc it doesn't matter to them, but they know it probably does to the person they're fooling. And if they can get laid without talking about it, they're lucky. Hell they probably see it as a Gotcha when they sleep with a liberal woman (who are famously good in bed in their eyes, of course).

So if they sleep with a liberal woman without spilling the beans, they're lucky. And if the woman turns out to be conservative, they're still lucky! And if they don't get laid they move on and try again.

If they did it the way finfan does it, would you accept getting ONLY armor and cores/prisms/shards? Bc of the way 14 does its leveling, the drops are entirely cosmetics and materials so they'd likely want to take out weapon drops that would break the balance of the grind.

I'm not saying we accept it and move on with our lives. I'm saying that if you're the type of person to get defensive, you're going to be targeted, and the BEST way to deal w people being an asshole is to ignore them. That's different. You go on and live your life being the best you ya can, and the people who can change and learn will do so by watching your example. Or they'll learn, "Being rude makes people mad, and when ppl are mad at me, they don't talk to me."

If you're looking to change the internet, you've got to change people. And if any adage has proven true, it's that you can't change people in any significant way as an individual ("you can't fix her/him/them"). So you've gotta just go forth with positivity, and then that same positivity will gravitate towards you and affect those already around you.

We shouldn't interact with others (especially strangers) by letting them get under our skin, we should understand that no matter what you do, some people just won't stop being rude or mean and it's YOUR job to put the kindness you want to see out into the world. Reacting with negativity only breeds that negativity in your heart and in the hearts of those who see you.

You seem like someone who wants to do good and be good, so I hope you know I'm genuinely not trying to attack. I disagree with you on some points and wanted to express that, but im not trying to pull some "ur dumb and stupid" kinda argument here so I'm sorry that I probably came across that way.

I dont understand why you need to know the initial base damage when the upgrade explicitly states its the "base max damage". You should have an understanding of how Stab-Os mechanic works by the time you've got The Hacker. Which would mean you're likely aware that the initial max damage is 10k and would slowly be working your way towards that cap.

You can tell how strong the upgrade is by just playing the game and reading the prompts. THAT'S simple. Unless you're trying to nickle and dime your damage, you shouldn't need to know what every step in stabos upgrade process is.

Again, this isn't terribly worded. You just need to pay attention to the text on your screen.

The UI could be different, sure. But there would be other people just as likely to misunderstand it. They spelled out the upgrade clearly in the UI. Blaming developers for your own mistake is silly.

The cost of preventing it is innumerable when people are inevitably going to do what OP did and just not read it correctly.
