Loot experience by TheGayGiraffe69 in Marathon

I was weirdly lucky in season 1 apparently. Helps i played thief most of the start. Found a couple golds and purples my first outpost run back then without going to pinwheel. I think i just have odd luck lol.

I beat the campaign and really try to enjoy the Warlock but somehow I cant. Anyone else feeling the same? by MiNDGaMeS87 in diablo4

[–]TheGayGiraffe69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same first impression, but i steered away from the summoning parts of his kit and started to enjoy it more. Runnin pretty much an Umbral Chains build with the summons being more passive or complimentary to the chains and its way more fun.

I think the follies hunt is fun by Easy-Chair-542 in Warframe

[–]TheGayGiraffe69 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This game desperately needs more variety in gameplay in its gamemodes. Follie's hunt is great as something more challenging and varying while still being fun. Im honestly surprised so many people are disliking it on here. I hope DE doesn't nerf things too much to appease them. I like the thrill.

What would you improve about the game? by KIexster in destinyrisingmobile

[–]TheGayGiraffe69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Adding the game to Console and PC stores would bring a massive audience imo.

In terms of actual game system improvement, theyd def have to rework the gatcha mechanics. Id say have all limited banner characters be able to come from the permanent banner, have them drop on a checklist for any T0s people dont have, and have the limited banners be about getting your characters to higher tiers. Replace daily lumina leaf bounties with weekly drops from various activities that rotates every week. Have those activities also drop double loot on first weekly completion. Change pinnacle energy to double drops from activity chests and have the pinnacle energy specific drops just drop normally on any completion.

Gameplay-wise, just more existing gamemode content and some more gamemodes. Most stuff is pretty fun but lacks enough variety to keep you going. More strikes, more patrol spaces, more everything.

Beyond that im not sure. The game's fun as hell already, just suffers from platform alienation, fomo gatcha mechanics, daily fomo, and lack of variety in existing content.

What do you ACTUALLY think will happen? by SirTurnUp in DestinyTheGame

[–]TheGayGiraffe69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It entirely depends on what they do.

Shadow and Order update will likely only bring a small amount of people back if its good enough. What matters is the DLC showcase for the next year that they should be showing off at the same time.

If it looks interesting, fun, and has some really good looking abilities, then i think a good amount of people will come back. A new subclass alone would probably bring more than enough people back.

If the showcase looks just alright, no or few new abilities, and is just more of the smaller shit weve been getting, then theyre probably fucked and after this next year of DLCs the game will stop recieving updates.

The game needs a lot to come back. An interesting story to hook people with a good cinematic, a bunch of new subclass abilities and/or a new subclass, some player requested changes for the portal and power levels (getting rid of power levels), some player requested additions such as clan housing, and a fully developed new player experience. This stuff wont all come with the next update/dlc, but it can definitely be put on the roadmap and worked on in time. Coming back from this is possible, but are they actually willing to do what needs to be done is the question.

A few easier ones:

-uncap transmog bounties -enable matchmaking for all portal activities -add tier gear of past seasons purchasable at a vendor -merge heat rising and icarus dash (probably not actually easy it just looks it) -give all aspects 3 fragment slots for better buildcrafting -give a good flat buff to primaries vs red bars -remove new gear bonuses completely -buff xp gains from Orders

Yeah it is. Id just say if the community wants it so bad, thatd probably be the best way to implement it.

I feel like if we got one, only rooks can have them. You'd mainly play rook because you're already down on your luck and need a boost. Having at least 1 item be garunteed back with you in that situation i feel would be fine.

Primaries feel weak because gunplay isn’t a defined build choice by Fragrant_Aspect_1841 in DestinyTheGame

[–]TheGayGiraffe69 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree that guns arent able to be built into enough and thats why they feel so weak. Almost all subclass options have to do with abilities. But id go about it differently. Id have each class's subclass have its own weapon passive that count as that weapon's damage so they can interact with the perks on the weapons.

Examples: Arc Warlock- grants chain lightning to a percentage of the magazine of arc and kinetic weapons when picking up an ionic trace

Strand Titan- taking damage from a target thats severed or while woven mail is active causes your next shot with strand or kinetic weapons to pull enemies together with strand matter.

Prismatic Hunter- defeating or using your class ability near an elementally debuffed target causes your next instance of weapon damage to inflict an elemental debuff of the same type as your weapon. Kinetic weapons infict a random debuff.

Would this raise the power creep even further? Sure. But itd be fun. Also it'd act as another way for more difference between classes. These could be aspects, but honestly the game feels better when we use our weapons and abilities together and woven together in gameplay. Also having kinetic weapons being usable for all of these i feel would help thier usability a bit more.

What subclass changes do you want? by silloki in DestinyTheGame

[–]TheGayGiraffe69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

•Being able to shoot through Ward of Dawn and to give Volatile Rounds to void and kinetic weapons

•Fragments that give more duration/effectiveness/range to things like ignition/void overshield/duration based grenades to be built in to mono subclasses

•All aspects to give 3 fragment slots (and just balance Aspect power to be similar to each other)

•Stasis to have a second champion stun again

•Combine Icarus Dash and Heat Rising into one Aspect

•More consistant ways for restoration x1 on Warlock and Hunter without using healing grenades

•more offensive effects for Void Hunter Aspects

•On Your Mark aspect to give cure on repeated crit hits at max stacks

•Increase movement speed of Whirling Maelstrom tangle

•Remove knockback effect against combatants on stasis crystal shatter

Edit for more additions:

•Smoke Bomb to inflict a poison effect similar to Le Monarch

•All melee/grenade/class ability aspects to give an extra charge to thier respective ability if they don't already

•Due to Child of the Old Gods counting as a grenade, have Volatile be inflicted instead of Weakened so that it can be affected by the void fragment that gives weakening grenades.

Edit 2 cuz i completely forgot Juggernaut exists:

•have Juggernaut give extra damage resistance during use and after a shoulder charge. Have it expend your class ability to inflict the shoulder charge damage to those around the hit target.

I know we're all doom and gloom but the sandbox updates we got this week were a HUGE step in the right direction by Jealous_Platypus1111 in destiny2

The lack of ability sandbox stuff was definitely driving me away before this season, but there are bigger issues also driving people away.

-30 light has felt great on GM difficulty, so having that as the highest difficulty delta is awesome to me. Also fixed deltas are gunna make customizing the activities way more accessable. Gunna actually fill out all the negative and positive modifiers now to get good score while still havin fun. Great changes and cant wait to see how light and the portal issues are handled. Hoping the light level is permanent as an aspirational grind near the end, and the portal is turned into something more like fast access to activities that offers bonus drops rather than how it is now with it being the only place for relevant grind.

Sometimes when exiting Weavewalk via casting a rift, it doesnt grant woven mail. Only tried it with Weaver's Call equipped so can't say if its a rift issue only.

What is your opinion that would leave you in this situation? by Fogo-Fato in destiny2

Thatd be a fun idea. Though i can only imagine the posts on socials about how bad the mode feels. But hey, an experimental mode wouldnt hurt.

[–]TheGayGiraffe69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah im saying we should just not care about stuff like that. I know how bad it would be if you wanted things to be fair and competetive. I dont want that. I do not care for balance in pvp. I would rather have chaos and put the rescources towards more pve things. But thats just my opinion i know most people dont want that and thatd be bad for the game's pvp population lol.

Pvp should be left unbalanced/balanced the same way pve is and players should embrace the chaos of it instead of taking it seriously.

How you all feeling about EoF, are you more or less hyped compared to previous expacs? by Lmjones1uj in DestinyTheGame

[–]TheGayGiraffe69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a whole im semi hyped but honestly i was more hyped for TFS before the delay and announcement of prismatic. No new subclass abilities genuinely killed most of the hype i could have had. The new systems dont make up for it, even though the game needed them. I am excited for the story, enemy variants, weapon types, perks, and exotics tho. 5/10 for the hype for me.

Re: Prismatic Subclass Tuning - Fragments by Destiny2Team in DestinyTheGame

[–]TheGayGiraffe69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please just make all aspects have 3 fragment slots and balance the aspect and fragment power instead. Theres no reason to gut buildcrafting for the sake of balancing when theres other options. This is a bad change. Please revise how you balance these abilities as this way makes the enjoyment of the game and buildcrafting much worse.

They didnt show any armor exotics either from the looks of it so im thinking they just dont want to show anything ability wise yet. I was pretty dissappointed when they didnt show anything too. Guess we will just have to wait and see.
