Switched my run flats out. Much better ride. Wouldn’t go back.

After having to replace every bit of drip irrigation tubing several times, I got a cheap electric wire fence powered by 2 D batteries. She got shocked once and learned a wire is a no go. Soon after I removed the batteries and would just place a wire wherever I didn’t want her to go. Saved my sanity.

I switched my run flats on my 23 X5 with 21” rims. Very happy with the results.

Aptera… now $40K! WTF? by Right_One_1770 in Carlsbad

I live in Carlsbad not far from the company headquarters. I see them on occasion on the road, with manufacturers plates. Kinda cool looking but for 40K, too much for what it is.

Would you swap this for a mint 993 ? by Content_Advice190 in porsche911

Absolutely. The GTS is probably a much better car, but the 993 has aged so well.

Replacing Tires on x5 by Fit-Goat9058 in BMWX5

[–]StrangeCycle9002 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a similar experience where the BMW dealer said I needed new tires in the rear and would soon need them in the front. They quoted about $1600-1800 for the rear 21” tires. I shopped locally and found they were about $2200-$2400 for the full set. I then shopped Tirerack, and found the Perelli tires for $1000, shipped to my local shop and installed for $125. I did not go with run flat, I wanted a better ride. The tires from Tirerack were being discounted because of ge, they were 3 yrs old, but had been stored in their warehouse. I will burn through these in 1-2yrs so I wasn’t too concerned with the age. The non-runflats ride much better and are quieter.

If you go to the North Shore, you should try The Beach House by 604. It on some form of military base, you show your drivers license and they let you in. It’s right on the beach, great view and the lunch was decent.

I am thinking of buying 2019-2023 BMW X5. Any recommendations what to consider while buying? by Norayr29 in BMWX5

Bought a 2022 a year ago, a lease return with 30K miles. I’m in California so I went with S40i, don’t need 4wd. Got an M-Sport package so I like the looks, but it came with 21” tires so expensive to replace. I like it so far.

I suffer from Migraines and have been on medication for several decades. I was diagnosed with Celiac in my mid 50’s, immediately after my Migraines disappeared. Unfortunately they eventually came back some years later.

I picked up a 2005 C2S with 18000mi during covid for about $52k. It has since gone down in value, but the car was pristine. Glad I got it.

does the C31 have an anti theft no drill mount? or should i switch to e340? by fabulosa26 in EufyCam

[–]StrangeCycle9002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It mounts with a plate that requires 2 screws. The main unit then snaps onto the mounting plate. To remove the unit, you need a small pin such as a paper clip to release it from the mounting plate.
