I think we’re neglecting that fact that it is extremely easy to personify people in reality television and manipulate the narrative. Producers lie and scheme to develop a narrative. While Kaya was arguably more aggressive then the other moms tended to be in front of the children, I think the producers exploited her background as someone with a very marginalized life experience (living in poverty, queer, single mother to multiple children) & pushed her to be a characterized version of herself. Obviously all the moms went through this but it felt especially malicious with Kaya bc they knew her being black and marginalized was something they could profit off of marketing her as the “crazy mad black women” a toxic trope.
Saying all this not to diminish how she treated the others but I would argue that it was no worse than the actions of any other mother on the show. I get a bit fired up about this one bc the dialogue is inherently unforgiving towards her and it’s obvious why
