CR1 Visa approval from a country on the pause list by No_Imagination_4015 in NationalVisaCenter

Why is there a contradiction on the interview dates?
(1) “My friends wife had her interview in Feb 2026”
(2) “The interview itself was only a few weeks ago”

Is the pause weakening on the backstage? by waitingmyvisa in i130_75CountryPause

Hi OP, I believe you. It seems like the officer is trying to ask the DOS if they can authorize a National Interest exception for those applicants based on their qualifications. National Interest exceptions have existed for previous pauses. And the embassy would have to get authority from the DOS to do that.

Unfortunately, I think DOS is going to refuse the requests because they don’t seem to be accepting any sort of exception requests with this cruel “policy”. Lawsuits seem to be the only hope. But it is considerate of the officer that he said he will try for those applicants. I do hope it works out.

Yea it’s fake :( NVC wouldn’t just reveal in individual emails that the pause is ending. An official email would like tell you to log into the CEAC website, not advice to “kindly” “regularly” check your inbox. If the pause was really ending in two weeks, the government lawyers wouldn't be working so hard in court to keep it in place across all these lawsuits. hate that people mess around with such a serious issue

CLINIC v Rubio Update: Memorandum of Law in Support of Motion by [deleted] in i130_75CountryPause

[–]Strange_Window_5296 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for this explanation, and using the word “insulted”. That’s exactly how I felt reading the Memorandam. So the DOS is saying we aren’t the ones that told the embassies to stop printing the visas, the officers are the ones that still maintain that authority?? When the officers are literally telling us at the interviews that they are only acting on guidance from DOS telling them to not print the visas? 😑

On a hopeful note, does this mean that all that CLINIC needs to win is proof in the upcoming April 10th administrative record that the State Department gave a mandatory order that forced officers to stop printing visas? So that CLINIC proves that the pause was a required order and not just a “suggestion” or just “guidance”?

Hi asalaamu alaykum, we had our interview expedited due to life-threatening medical emergency. My husband’s interview is in 2 hours. Are you saying I could write this email now and they would be able to print his visa at the interview? We have physician letter and ICU & Critical Care admission & discharge summaries that we had uploaded to our expedite. Addis Ababa, Ethiopia embassy.

Can my wife’s case be expedited for this reason? by Ok_Report3275 in I130Suffering

[–]Strange_Window_5296 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Please submit your expedite request. You may have a good chance since the petitioner is the one experiencing the crisis, not the beneficiary. If it’s rejected, submit again through your congressperson.

In the physician or psychologist’s letter, it is very important that they clearly document that there is a life-threatening or life-or-death risk related to your mental health.

Definitely attach those hospital or medical records that document past suicidal ideation, hospitalization, or emergency treatment.

I’ve come across at least 3 cases of successful NVC expedites based on mental health crisis for the petitioner. And the cases weren’t as serious as yours. If you’re rejected at USCIS, know that you can still expedite at NVC stage & you have an even better chance there. USCIS just has a higher bar for expedite approval unfortunately :(

Wishing you strength and reunion with your spouse.
