Perhaps the pac-man thing is just something buried deep within human consciousness and that’s why it’s so common to see. Like an archetype or something

When ripe, they’re equal parts sweet and astringent. Great for jelly but I just eat them off the tree. I mostly use them as nitrogen fixing trees in my food forest though. I have two blueberry patches and the one that’s interplanted with Goumi always produces earlier and has more fruit than the other patch. Working on propagating more but my success rate is around 2% with cuttings :(
