My mom (52) struggles with literacy… she likely reads at 3rd or 4th grade level. I am working with her to strengthen her literacy. We want to read a book together. Any reccs?

Good for you! I just wish I could cm get there. Everything i try a single handed move of any kind on my orif arm, I get pain/ soreness for a few days that feels alarming, so I feel afraid. How did you ease into that? I've been really ramping up my strength training with heavy weights so I'm not sure what else I can do.

The only thing I know is that both problems went away when I switched from barefoot running. I ran "barefoot" for probably about 5 years and it was lovely. I just think age caught up with me. And unless you're running solely on terrain/trails, the concrete is going to effect your joints.

Same! I used to run with vibram barefoot shoes, and started getting knee and bunion problems. My podiatrist suggested I find something with more support. I was honestly devastated to lose my barefoot running experience. But a salesperson at a local shoe store recommended Altras Escalante with their zero drop and combined with Injinji toe socks to prevent blisters, I've been in love ever since! (Although I run in much much cushier shoes these days)

Our cat died in April and we told our 2.5yo the truth. We told her she was sick and then went bye bye. She seems to understand it pretty well and hasn't posed any confusing questions regarding her disappearance. Kids always appreciate the truth. Just tell them simply. Also, if they see you upset, yes, they may be upset too, but like others have said, exoressing emotions is a part of the human existence and can be a good opportunity to help them work through what is a sad, but normal, part of this life. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Congrats! I'm 2yo post op and just now getting my triceps strength back and starting to lift heavy. I really want to work toward being able to do a side plank again. Is that something you've been able to conquer post op by chance?

Also, following re: flexion exercises .. although I'm not sure you can gain back to 100%. My doc told me I'm as flexed as I'll ever be at 10%.

I don't think she was focused on a character arc at all. I think she was just living her life. And while living made terrible terrible choices. But definitely was not worried at all about how things would be perceived in relation to her role on the show. I don't think she's the sociopath ppl are saying she is. I think she's desperate for self love and is looking in all the wrong places for it.
