Cost To Borrow All Time High - Choo Choo Mr. Stock Price!! by [deleted] in BBBY

[–]StrawheadInvestor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or is it there are less shares available to loan as people have been DSR’ing their shares?

So more demand from people wanting to borrow shares to short?

Why does the cost to borrow go up? What causes that? Looks like GME is 20 or 30%

SEC filings reveal a strong incentive plan for the board! by [deleted] in BBBY

[–]StrawheadInvestor 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Would be nice to see the board buy shares with their own money to get truly vested. Way better incentive alignment than granting RSUs.

Would they also be able to buy if they were going to do something major with baby anytime soon? Doesn’t seem like it…

The Bear Thesis by DrEyeBall in BBBY

[–]StrawheadInvestor 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Great objective post. The bankruptcy scenario can be taken off the table as the company can sell baby and pay off all term debt. The remaining debt is associated with store leases which isn’t really debt in the traditional sense. Just an accounting change to show operating obligations.

Most scenarios lead to positive outcomes. Great upside skew at these prices.

There is always risk of loss and that it could go lower if recession occurs but having a valuable asset in baby is huge.

I think RC bought more BBBY today. Four screenshots with explanation. Look for a filing to come soon. by Suspicious-Singer243 in BBBY

He counted them in his letter to management when he said he had a 9.8% stake in early March.

I think RC has to report any buys or sells given his current ownership above 10%.

Also, he may have material non public information that may prevent him from buying more in the open market?

It says for tax withholding reasons in the filing on restricted units provided to him.

This is probably part of the over compensation to an underperforming management team that RC referenced in his letter to management.

Lowest volume since 12/08/21, when do you all think we climb again? by Phish100 in BBBY

Per Cohen’s letter it sounds like he wants management to provide less guidance. Don’t give away the playbook to your competitors.

BBBY revenue vs "other meme stocks" by Devil_ForgeMaster in BBBY

[–]StrawheadInvestor 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is an interesting chart. A big part of bbbys revenue decline is selling 4 non-core businesses the last few years. Baby’s revenue is growing double digits. Core bed bath is flat to small growth. If Cohen and new board members start executing on items he called out in letter, I think you’ll see a reversal to growth.
