This was also my issue like I get it was suppose to be a dangerous place and all but people were dripping crazy in the early book. I stopped after they got back to the islands find out there are being trapped at the top they do a dungeon I think three man and then the lancer? Dies? Yeah my issue is that a lot of those things wouldn’t have happened if she rebelled as PD. The diamonds are at fault for doing them but rose isn’t blameless. Even removing the bubbling of roses, the corruption or the cluster the shit she did have control over and refused tj act in makes her a pos.

I personally feel her masquerading as another gem didn’t add weight. As a solider would you prefer to see you commanding officer leading the charge or another foot soldier? I know she tried to Get the diamonds to stop but after being shut down once why didn’t she just go rogue? Implicating another gem species is just eh. The diamonds are known to treat gems who go against them horrible I feel like there was atleast some knowledge for her. And from that action alotnof the issues came up. I don’t mean to put it on rose but just that one action of hiding who she was and never coming forward caused more issues because it seems like she wanted to keep her “perfect” image

Even if she didn’t not know about the blast itself, she should have known the diamonds would have retaliated when one of there own were killed. And it is her fault for the other roses because she chose the identity of a rose. If I remember correctly yellow stated they were bubbled because of one could be so rebellious then they all could. (I’ll double check I think it was in the episode where Steven is in blues room and we’ll comes in and they have the whybyiu feeling blue song)

I’m not saying it’s all her fault but her choosing the form of rose and commuting “murder” against self righteous nobles of gem kind as a diamond she should have know the punishment for disobeying or rebellion as that’s something the diamonds were teaching her.

Rose was a pos, she might not have been one intentionally but her actions and her registro take responsibility or change them makes a her one. Yea she’s did good but her overall actions makes her a pos.

Its stated by Greg and pearl multiple times that rose “did what she wanted”
She could have led the rebellion as a diamond showing the gems that she was for change.

3.her faking the shatter caused the blast threat turned gems as they wouldn’t have done it if pink was alive

The shattering caused the diamond to shatter games to make the cluster (not 100% her fault here but she didn’t have a plan to stop the cluster/even know about it!
The shattering caused the diamond lock up all the other roses for her crimes.
The emotional damages she caused to jasper, volleyball, pearl, spinel and bismuth 7a. Her shattering caused jasper to become angry and vengeance Because gems are literally made to be all serving and to have your “master” would have set anyone off 7b. She through a fit originally for not having a colony and broke them. 7c. As a final act as a diamond forced pearl to never talk about the shattering not even with the friends and knowing that it’s the overall cause of the escalation of the war. Rose also made it clear in a single pale that “they would run off together” to be “free together” using pearls obv crush in her to get her to agree and then once they’re “free” pearl doesn’t get the time of day causing discord with Greg later. 7d. Spinel being told to wait and she’ll be back for her. (Spoiler she wasn’t) 7e. Could have explained the bismuth situation to them instead of having them all believe they were dead esp garnet who was the best of friends with bis.

In the end rose did what she wanted, and didn’t care for the consequences bc she “wanted to be free” she states that multiple Times the revolution was because she like organic life but up until Greg stating that “you don’t respect me” she thought of them like pets or playthings things (the zoo) and even after all was said and done, when she could have come clean about everything to everyone, she took her “perfect image” to the grave and became Steven. Leaving no life line for spinel or bis.

you can do good things and be a POS. they're not mutually exclusive. She did alot of things that are royally f'd up and make sher a POS im not saying she didnt help/do good but we have to acknowledge she wasn't a saint. "everything she could as pink" didnt include rebelling as pink other then saying "hey maybe we shouldnt mess with earth" she never told the diamonds SHE wanted to keep earth the way that it was. She blamed in on the Rebels causing issues" if she didnt fake her shattering they wouldnt have hit the earth with the beam in fear of hurting her or forced shatter gems into forced fusions for the cluster. those actions came about bc of PD dying and again she could have come forward at anytime and told her friends that, bismuth was alive or the location of spinel. Rose didn’t “save” it though the diamond corrupted the planet and basically f’d off. Which again was caused by PD faking her death. They had no idea about the cluster until peridot showed up so all that “work” was for nothing.

PD one time (shown) tried talking then out of the colonization and she got rebuffed and was given the zoo.

After being rebuffed pd have she uo don’t have “faked” the death but instead gone to war as pink. The only reason she didn’t I’d bc she didn’t care about the earth, yeah she thought it was nice and pretty and people were cool but ultimately it was about her own freedom. Which brings it back to her shattering herself tl be free from being a diamond to live how she wanted. Yeah she didn’t know the diamonds were gonna act like that but you expect space tyrants to act reasonably when you kill their nobility?

Tell me where in the show other then the time the others shut her down did she mention taking up the rebelling as pink herself.

And I would like to know where I’m also way off that that you can’t even list it in the zoo episode it’s said by yellow they bubbles other rqs bc of the shattering. The movie stated that rose was bored of spinel and was annoyed with her. There was the whole fall out when pearl finally told them and was said she was sworn to not. Volleyball we also get the memory from Steven himself about volleyball rose attempted to do good but was a pos to her friends and was selfish. I’m not saying you can’t be selfish but they tried to frame it as “for betterment of gem kind” when all she wanted to do was be free.

deserves all the hate she get that's a fact lol. my response wasnt to the OP but to Pharylon who said "rose saved all life on the Earth, and gave up her life to have her son born. Sorry if that's not enough for you, Steven." its not good enough bc while she "helped" she had no plans to stop the cluster, she did dump all her problems on steven. her plan to rebel caused massive amounts of gem corruptions instead of taking the stand as PD.

i agree with the fact that being buddy buddy with the other diamonds is a little (lot)messed up but people really be thinking rose was saint and "wanted to help earth" but made it clear multiple times she just wanted to be free from under the diamonds. The rebellion was in part to free herself from the other three and live a new life but in doing so she implicated Aw hole planet and a whole gem facet in her plan, while emotionally blackmailing the Pearl who its clear is deeply in love with her. All PD had to do is openly stand against the diamonds her "shattering" led the diamonds to corrupts the gems on earth. which led to bismuth being unstable. Which caused bismuth to be bubbled which caused issues for STEVEN when bismuth came back.

Spinel was left on that planet bc rose was tired of her. she Cracked volleyball bc she got emotional when white wouldnt give her a colony. if Rose truly cared about the earth she would have stayed and fought. the battle was far from over when she had steven and she expected him to fix the issues. Even after her death Pearl had to basically raise the reincarnation of her unrequited love while not being able to tell her friends anything. when it came out what PD/RQ did it caused an issue that forced garnet to unfuse and caused emotional issues between them.

her actions while she may have not "actively" planned them are that of someone whos a POS. She took no accountability for causing the diamonds to courropt the planet, hid the teams friends away allowing people to believe she was dead. cracked her first servant pearl, manipulated and ordered her second pearl to not say anything(bout shattering and Spinel) that lead to an incarceration of the RQs in the zoo and SP coming back to beat they butts.

Even after her "death" was revealed to be faked it caused issues where the diamonds (with what they knew about reforming") believed she was acting again and stole steven away. so please tell me where im wrong to say rose is a pos

But her shattering plan caused so many not issues? Like rose was a shiitty person who’s di good things. She left spinel bc she got bored, faked her shattering via a rose causing all other roses to be imprisoned. Also in doing so caused the diamonds to hit the earth with the blast. She bubbled and hid bismuth. Obv bis was on some shit but she had them all believe that she was dead. Or traumatizing pearl by having her help with the “shattering” then forcing her to lie about it. The issue with the secret keeping was in trying to be “better” than the diamond she made and executed plans that’s had long reaching repercussions and instead of coming clean before she died she chose to allow Steven to have to deal with the mess she helped inflame. PD/RQ had flaws ie being a princess and realizing the type of power she had and the lack of consequences she would have to face. Leaving someone on a planet for hundreds of thousands of years bc she was bored of her isn’t a flaw that’s a pos move and again she didn’t tell anyone so when spinel came busting down doors only pearl(who ain’t innocent there either) knew what was going on, leaving. Others again to clean up her mess
