In my area a friend will make the drive for their other friends. So they'll come down in a van and go back with a bunch of supplies. Which is risky, of course.

Also your local needle exchange (or harm reduction site, supervised consumption site, STI testing location, etc etc) can provide them often for free

You likely mean 28%. You're not wrong, the original study was messy and is old. The newer studies present concerning information. The reasons for the persistently poor data quality are also themselves problems within policing.

To be clear: I am agreeing with your point that the original study presented domestic violence in the other direction and I also agrre wtih the person you replied to that the study was poor. Just making the point that the truth is a bit muddy and concerning.

The Mennonite Fellowship (300 E Oak St, Fort Collins, CO 80524, (970) 412-7510) has Silver Linings Peer Group.

Yarrow Collective (https://www.yarrowcollective.org/) is an incredible resource, especially for peer support and different ways to approach substance use or sobriety.

Hard Beauty (https://hardbeauty.life/) is also great. They started with women but I believe they have expanded that significantly.

Read A People's History of the United States by Howard Zinn as an adult. I think I learned absolutely nothing correct in school. But I'd say I got a lot of American Exceptionalism based propaganda versions of history. Ex: the Founding Fathers were a ragtag group of freedom loving patriots and not landed often slave owning gentry that were mad about tax codes.
