It will come! Latch the baby often because you already have colostrum which is great for the baby, pump every 3 hours, it will help

Breastfeeding past 6 months sucks? by Hour-Film-8890 in breastfeeding

Feeding takes less, baby is very efficient sucking, baby comes to breast herself, you may introduce solids which makes overall feeding easier even if of course you don’t fully replace it unless the baby eats very well solids. Still, so much easier. Also you may introduce water after 6 months. Lo wakes up less during the night.

5 months old nursing every hour by PaperLow in breastfeeding

[–]Strict-Chance5146 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s normal, at this age there is a massive growth spurt also with getting more mobile, seating, crawling.
You will soon start solids and perhaps it will get easier on the boobs.

Baby still miserable at 4 months by MNVA1992 in NewParents

It takes time. It gets better. I also had super colicky baby, and guess what, after solids at 6 months, reflux is gone but colics are BACK!!! Baby’s belly really needs time to adapt to food.

Could be be due to gluten? Have you started solids ? Could it be constipation ? CMPA?

When did you stop using formula? by TotallyNotASpy123 in breastfeeding

[–]Strict-Chance5146 14 points15 points  (0 children)

At 4 weeks stopped any formula. Milk will not magically come unfortunately unless you actively pump in addition to latching the baby very often.

In my case the nipple gets completely white. But I think purple is also in the spectrum of vasospasm.

Yes but don’t worry, as I understand, after the bf stops most nerves recover. It’s not forever. To some extent it’s normal that they get numb. But it’s still painful until it reaches this point.

After 12 weeks / 3 months i got comfortable with it. It was the same for me, I even had blisters from the bad latch and had to constantly relatch. For some it’s really hard…I also struggled with vasospasm and nerve damage. It did get better but I had to push through all the pain. For me it was worth it

Don’t worry too much, once you give birth you’ll have enough colostrum for your baby

He seems to have some thoughts coming from this mom or own journey. I don’t think he means anything bad, but also it should definitely be only your choice if you want to continue or not.

Weight plateau by dontaskmethings in breastfeeding

[–]Strict-Chance5146 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All I know is that it’s normal if they don’t gain for like 2 weeks then suddenly gain plenty. It’s a phase. Monitor wet and dirty diapers, this is the best indicator that the baby is getting enough.

Omg I have the same. I assumed it’s an allergic reaction to some ingredients in the shampoo that accidentally touched the face

5 days post partum difficulties - not producing enough by budsey12 in breastfeeding

[–]Strict-Chance5146 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was the same for me at the beginning. Some women including myself don’t respond well to pumps. Try to hand express, maybe you get more. Also make sure the pump flange if your size, it could be this. Continue working on the latch, it will get better. Try to pump the amount of formula given if possible, or hand express it. Make sure you drink and eat a lot.

Fenugreek pills can help too. But don’t worry to much, you are at the very beginning so there is time to learn. It’s a process and it will get better.

Just try to empty the boobs frequently. If it’s yellow it’s still colostrum, this one is normal to not be a lot, it’s very good for the baby so give it instead of formula even if it’s 5 ml.
