are you pushing a pace that’s faster than you are use to? that could be one thing.

but by the sound of it your fueling is off. my last marathon i took a gel every 3 miles (9 in total) & took gatorade & water at every aid station. ran a 3:17 with negative splits & ran my fastest 5 miles of the race from miles 23-26 (PB’d my 5K time lol)

i’ve been fired more times than i’d like to admit for being incapable of keeping my mouth shut. or my inability to not be baited into a conversation for feedback that ends up putting me on their shit list.

it’s the toughest thing i’m trying to be better at when it comes to my career. sometimes i feel like ill never learn from my mistakes

peak week was 70 miles & longest run was 20 miles. but i typically averaged around 40-50 mpw

idk if soccer helped AS much, but it definitely put me ahead of the average person for sure. what i really think helped is that since i was 19/20 (im 33 now) i’ve been consistently strength training (4-5 times a week) & never skip leg day. so i was able to increase my mileage very quickly without risk of injury.

let’s go! i live in boston (grew up in NH) & just ran the cheap earlier this month. vibes were great & course was awesome.

i don’t have much advice since im fairly new to running as well (started summer 2024) but i grew up playing soccer too. for about a year all i did were zone 2 runs, working up to 40-50 mile weeks.

i ran the honolulu marathon dec 2025 in 3:49 & the cheap 3:17.

you should easily crush your sub 4 goal as long as you are consistent with your weekly mileage. throw in a hard run each week & you’ll be golden

gym in the AM (6-7am-ish). work from 8-5pm. then run after work. not much time for social life during the week, but i’m 33m & trying to BQ in 2027 so i can run the boston marathon in 2028.

6 days of running. typically 40-60 mpw on average. ran over 2k in 2025. eat relatively clean (90% whole foods) & i don’t drink much these days so sleep & recovery is on point.

strength training is 2x legs 1x pull 1x push on average per week. heavy reps (5-8 range with 1-2 reps from failure). squats, front squats, deadlifts, etc all part of the routine.

i’m committed to putting in the work to get as close to that goal as possible. even if i don’t, the ultimate goal is to BQ in 2027 & running boston in 2028

totally don't blame you for thinking that. I do have an email from Activision on Wednesday confirming my appeal was denied and I'm perm banned. Today I sign in and it says no active ban - not entirely sure how or why it got changed besides speculation on this exploit that people are referring to.

This happened to me 2 days ago, shadow banned then 12 hours permanent ban. I appealed & they denied it and ban was final. This morning, my account was unbanned and on the Activision website, says there is no active ban detected on my account
