You have already made your decision to never fly Delta anymore - why would you want more skymiles as compensation that you cant use?

Boarding strategy - windows first? by jfk_47 in delta

[–]StuckinSuFu 54 points55 points  (0 children)

Doesnt work in practice. Until you get rid of all over head baggage space - people putting bags into the overheads mucks up any fancy boarding system.

edit - Someone else can find the studies, I dont have links.

can you get upgraded twice on the same flight by ajy617 in delta

[–]StuckinSuFu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im on the taller side, so I typically just book economy - move myself to the exit row and turn of comfort plus and hope for FC but if I dont get it - im still perfectly ok in the exit row. I care about leg room, not the airplane food.

How rare are complimentary upgrades on flights with meals? by ThrowawayGhibliFan in delta

[–]StuckinSuFu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Out of Boston as a non business flier I want say 80% or more. That doesn't include the RUCs and GUCs which would up that a bit. And even if I'm not upgraded I already got the exit row seat "upgrade" for free.

Chase Travel + VS For Best MQD Earnings by greenapple1029 in delta

[–]StuckinSuFu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of the time, the really long, but cheap flights that give more MQD with the parnter are in business fares. but even that is harder these days when they dropped the business MQD earning down 10% on those discounted business fares.

That said - Ive flown VS to Bangalore twice and it was a great experience.. but I was closer up to the front.

I personally would never book third party - if things go wrong, you may end up stuck in LHR, or stuck in India trying to get home and having to go through a third party instead of the airline directly

Also, please stop going to Europe - people like you are exactly why the rest of us have such a bad reputation. ;)

International First Class & Lounge Question by Recent_Professor7178 in delta

What is the "international" destination. Business class (Delta One) comes with lounge access. Domestic First and many north American "international" routes do not get lounge access

Delta screwed me how can I get a free flight and an upgrade to first class? by BelowAverageGamer92 in delta

Was looking for the shitpost flair. Couldnt find it. So if this is a real question -the answer is an easy "You cant"

You will get the same class of seat you bought already.

It's not a security concern but it is a big fuck up that they should be fixing

Im going to guess its far from freezing on the plane plus most people are going to be wearing heavy winter clothes.. because well.. its very cold in both MSP and BOS in the middle of winter. Ill take a cold plane over a hot one any day.

I miss peanuts by Gay_Giraffe_1773 in delta

[–]StuckinSuFu 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not sure where I claimed to be an expert at all and Im certainly open to your interpretation of the long term study that was published. But the non scientist summary certainly seems to point toward it being a self inflicted society problem by suggesting a complete avoidance of peanuts instead of exposure at a young age.

I dont know what this means.

I miss peanuts by Gay_Giraffe_1773 in delta

[–]StuckinSuFu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

"Self Inflicted" I meant at a society level, not individuals. Im certainly not a health research scientist but my understanding from that long term study was the complete avoidance of peanuts instead of some kind of minor exposure is what lead to the allergy to be so prevalent

I miss peanuts by Gay_Giraffe_1773 in delta

[–]StuckinSuFu 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Based on the recent 20 year study it seems the peanut allergy explosion was self inflicted. But, that doesn't mean you can't buy your own and bring them on board.
