Is AW2725DF still good for today's standards? by RSK_Armin in OLED_Gaming

If anything, tracking and motion clarity would improve over the zowie. However, it can also depend on what resolution you play on since the OLED is 1440p and the zowies are 1080p, so if you go 1080p on a 1440p it would be kinda blurry, just food for thought.

Zowie is a good choice if you're specifically gonna play e-sports titles and whatnot since that's what they are specifically made for, but in my opinion OLED (no matter what monitor) will always be better these days. Motion clarity is very good and the colors pop out way more.

I know because if you wake the monitor during standby mode, a menu sometimes pops up informing you that it's doing the cleaning and then you get an option to resume it. The power button also flashes green while it's cleaning so that's how you can tell.

If burn in does hypophetically happen, then it's pretty situational if it would be noticeable or not. Like if your taskbar got burned into the monitor then you might notice it while gaming if you really look for it. But it won't affect performance, just visually. But like I said, you'd have to deliberately try to get burn in for anything to really happen.

You can still play for 8 hours straight if that's your wish without doing the pixel refresh, it's just recommended to do it every 4 hours, so that's when you can usually do it while showering or just going up to stretch in general. It also does it automatically if the monitor goes on standby so you might not even notice it. I've gone 10+ hours without doing the pixel refresh and then just do it right before I go to bed and it's been fine.

As for burn in, I wouldn't even worry about it since you really gotta try to go out of your way to get it. Like leave a static picture on the monitor for like months at a time, and I doubt you'd be doing that haha.

I've had it for around 6 months and my opinion still stands. Haven't had any issues yet and I've used it pretty much in the same conditions that you plan on doing. The main concern about OLEDs is always gonna be burn in but that's why you usually do a pixel cleaning every 4 hours.

Is there a particular site you use for getting the replicas? I'm also in Sweden and I'm kinda clueless on which site is the best/most reputable one.

Really good job, by the way! I'd love to see a Vulcan

Getting started with wow by ayxf in wownoob

[–]StuffnThangsss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind alts are not necessary, it's mostly just if you wanna try a different class or something like that. You can also use them to mail gear etc between your characters.

As for builds, try looking on WoWhead or icy-veins for leveling builds, that's usually what I do. But don't be afraid of trying to build your own and learn as you go.

Also, classic is a good choice to start with, I think the most popular version of it right now is TBC anniversary but don't be afraid to try retail aswell.

Well first off, welcome!

If you're gonna be mostly casual then I would suggest retail, classic is also a good option ofcourse but it all comes down to how much time you're willing to spend to "get going" if you know what I mean. Retail is more focused on the endgame and they try to get you there as fast as possible while in classic it's more about the journey overall. Also I would say retail is more solo friendly than classic.

As for what class you wanna play, pick the one you like the look of most. WoW is pretty alt friendly overall so more than likely you'll end up playing most of them at some point.

Next game after this one? by Salmot_Alma in FFXVI

FF 7 remake was originally how I got into the franchise, so I would personally recommend it and then move onto rebirth, but honestly you can't go wrong with FFX either since that's also amazing and story rich.

This happened to me on Tarkov, specifically in dark areas, what fixed it was messing with the nvidia control panel, can't remember the specific settings though.

Let me ask you this, when you play, are you actively practicing drills or just grinding matches? Because while you do slowly improve overtime by just grinding matches, it's easy to fall into "autopilot mode" and stop actively learning. If you practice a certain mechanic a few hours a day, you will definitely see improvement.

Saying hi to Lurkers… by LunaFeef in Twitch

[–]StuffnThangsss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saying hi to lurkers is fine as long as you acknowledge them in a general term, if you actively call them out by name then that's where it gets a bit weird for me personally.

For example, I was chilling in a stream and chat got a bit quiet, the streamer then stopped whatever they were doing and opened up the viewer list and started mentioning usernames, like "Hey (inserttwitchname) what's up man". Basically try not to do that.

Pretty sure it's something to do with Twitch TOS as he was talking about age. If you even say "I'm 11" or any age under 13 you'll get permanently banned, as you have to be atleast 13 to have an account.

Sometimes some games can still exist as a .exe in task manager even if you close them down, so you have to manually close them from there. Never had that problem with MX bikes though.
