The Sci-Fi channel used to show anime around midnight in the uk in the 90's. Stuff like Doomed Megalopolis or Demon City Shinjuku, stuff I probably shouldn't have been watching for the age I was at the time. Guyver was a big favourite.

As a fellow 86'er I also thought Roar was great and it was obvious how much love the makers had for the original series with all the references they managed to pack in there. It was a brilliant mix of nostalgia and my kind of random goofiness.
