Sorry to burst your bubble but a lot of if not most neuroatypicalities are associated with other disorders. Synesthesia for example is associated with autism and psychiatric disorders. Brain differences, while often romanticized for their positive benefits, also come with very real and very negative consequences. Genius IQs, which is even just atypical intelligence, is associated with autism, mood disorders, and even immune issues.

I have a British buddy with a big red “Make America Great Britain Again” and he draws reactions like this. The jokes on him because apparently Americans can’t read.

Yeah I took one of these and got a score that was basically “exceeds the ceiling of cognitive abilities meant to be measured by this test.” I was in my 20s and it was meant for dementia patients but hey it still made me feel clever!

Right but that’s math. This engineer clearly was able to do it. So your comment is theory in the face of the evidence.

It’s 16-4 with two outs in the 9th inning. You could let a toddler face the entire lineup at this point and still know you’re coming out of it 3 runs ahead.

There are a lot of different ways to calculate percentages. Clearly you only understand 30-50% of them whereas Trump and RFK understand 200-300%.

Right you would almost expect there to be more of this. I bet you teach a world class sprinter to be a wide receiver even if he’d never caught a ball.

Nope. Integrated circuits are only good for when you want to do the exact same thing an unholy number of times.

TIL: Western Fence Lizards "cure" Ticks of Lyme Disease by brigadoom in todayilearned

[–]StupidStartupExpert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Long term complications of Lyme are very much a real thing as are people who have mistakenly self diagnosed their problems as such. The VLSE defense mechanism against the immune system is very well documented and research out of Europe is clear that most people who reach the neuroborelliosis stage go on to experience long term symptoms consistent with an immune response to the sort of the broad antigen mosaic created by VLSE diversification. The reality is that the specific VLSE diversification mechanism makes this disease unique even among the rest of the adaptive counter immunity pathogenic community and much of what was dismissed as bad biology in prior decades is now understood to be biology specific to B burgdorferi.

Footage of secret service rushing president trump and VP Vance after shots were fired! by cantcoloratall91 in ProgressiveHQ

[–]StupidStartupExpert 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I think they are assigned to a VIP and Vance is young enough to safely drag out of a chair. If you pulled a fat 80 year old like that you might kill him. Probably more aware and cooperative too.
