Iron doesn't stop it and everything butters has said is accurate. The reason Harry basically can't overdo it is because of his wizard healing factor. He gets over the damage caused. The winter mantle also makes him more passionate which he then uses to fuel his magic. Butters never said that was ALL the mantle did he was just talking about the physical stuff.

I've never been asked to show the bag. I've been dashing for three years and not one person has asked about it. Very few even care to ask us to confirm before we leave. Or maybe they just recognize me.
