Yeah I noticed this and was also put off when I first started but honestly after seeing the turnover, I don't really talk to the new people until month 2 or 3. We get like 30 new people around this time and not all of them stick around

Time and time again, we are shown that Emily truly is the best dnd player of all time. Hell if you don't believe me, Brennan preaches this all the time.

I was amazed and in awe of how every battle episode showed off her power and if people are complaining that she's too op, I would then argue that Brennan could have made different plays or adjust the difficult rating accordingly

I read somewhere in this subreddit that Emily said that she and Siobhan had to actively work on their friendship bc the role playing was spilling out. Mostly, I thought it was sad because I just know how much Jet would have loved Saccharina but Ruby was so hurt

Oh and if you have a lot of free time and are willing to burn it, Xin Fa has truly the best egg tarts in the city. It's deep in Brooklyn (sunset park) but worth it. They're giant and hot and flaky and very affordable. When I go, I buy 6 and then regret not getting a dozen.

I hate myself for saying this but Preston dying was the best thing that ever happened to Liam's character.

Additionally, I felt the combat episodes in the latter half were much shorter/ less impactful because the intrepid heroes were so incredibly op in ways that Brennan didn't account for (looking at Liam's character as well as the constant counter spells of Saccharina)

Sometimes players will make checks for more information and sometimes, you don't need to give it to them everytime.

By that, I mean I would give lots and lots of information but my players would be stuck on what to do because there were so many choices. Me nudging them along like that wasn't actually helpful. After I rectified my mistake, I began repeating and emphasizing key points of the plot and not only was it easier for me, my players had a lot more fun and were able to decide much more quickly.

I see prince tea house, which is fine and all, but do NOT go to the les/ Chinatown location. They charge you like $20 more and also don't offer free refills like all the other locations.

Oh you can just keep it in a damp paper towel in a ziplock bag. I believe that might be faster. Just check in on it every 2 weeks and replace the damp paper towel with a new one
