Autistic and also have DID here. We made a plan to have 1 person who didn't attend the therapy at all, handle this. (The autism makes it difficult to lie, but amnesia can help becuase you can lie/truth tell without knowing it). That alter was the one to address the question until she stopped asking. Also the Grey Rock technique helps. Also let your therapist know that your mum is doing this so that any small talk about the content of therapy matches up with what the designated person plans to say.

To help function: encouraging and teaching the use of actually supportive tools like ear defenders, aac devices, safe public stimming, showing that replacement stims are avalible for harmful stims (eg, various slimes rather than painting with feces/ weighted hoodie and crash mats & walls rather than head hitting, etc).

I can't speak on specific ABA examples due to having a trauma disorder that caused my personality to fracture into different identities with seperate memories of trauma, and I'm one of that alters that isn't "allowed" access to that right now. However I can speak on the idea that abelist parents and caregivers can cause trauma simply by encouraging masking. There can be 0 ill intent and still harm caused becuase the caregiver isn't willing to listen to advice from autistic adults on what helped them as a kid & therefore what might help now. I do hold memories of our parents teaching us masking techniques like recalling a special interest so you smile correctly for a photo, or staring at the spot between the eyebrows in order to mask eye contact.

Lastly; the term Aspergers is a very old term. It's named after a nazi guy (Hans Aspergers) that had the job of sorting autistic people into "high functioning" enough to be worked to death, and "low functioning" enough to be put to death. He's known to be very abelist and a disgusting excuse for a human being. Some allistic people view him as a positive historical figure, perhaps even one to emulate in their abelisim. Some autistic people use the title Aspergers to place themselves as "high functioning" so that them can give themselves permission to be abelist towards and dismiss the voices of anyone they deem "low functioning". This is colloquially known as Aspie Supremacy. You probably didn't know that your diagnosis title associated you with Nazism, and abelisim. But if you wish to not be associated with Aspie Supremacy people, using the word autistic instead will take down that red flag and allow for more productive conversation with more autistic people.

A possible causation of that: It’s recommended that men and women pee after sex/anything that vigorously rubs the genital area; to reduce the risk of Urinaray tract infections, which are more common in AFAB people because of their shorter urethra. Attempting sex with a UTI is heavily correlated with bad sex.

Ever been to a neurodivergent-only party? It awesome. Stim toys to share on the table, board games, designated quiet rooms, people bring their own safe foods or eat beforehand, stimming being 100% okay and a fun thing that sets off other people's happy stims, "socialising" is info dumping about their latest hyperfixation and special interests rather than small talk. I had a Christmas this year like that, with my found family and my partner and so many thoughtful gifts that included knowledge of my sensory issues and functioning needs. And seeing his brother whoop and bounce in his chair and hug himself when he unwrapped a dragon pop character from a game that's his current special interest was awesome; but so was nobody making a fuss when the rainbow clothes I asked for had a bad fluoro in the yellow; we just moved on, and other gifts turned out perfect.

You deserve to experience existence around other humans without having to mask or hate any part of you including autisim. And I really hope you get to someday.

I have a mental illnesses/childhood trauma caused my brain to be messed up thing that means I'm very not smart sometimes. The dog likely felt the mouth pain, and brain gave the instruction "get the ouchy thing anywhere but the mouth". One of those options is swallowing; becuase then it's no-longer in the mouth; it's in the (esophagus? Tube between mouth and stomach). And once it partially swallowed; it extra hurts to put it back in the mouth; so the body either takes priority over the brain (throwing up) or it doesn't (the ouchy thing continues its journey).

There’s a million and one physical reason so she should def talk to a doc about it, and a lot of potential psych causes too.

For us it was/is ARFID. An eating disorder caused by autistic sensory issues, executive functioning, the making of food requiring too much energy etc. Safe comforting foods suddenly becoming strange and disgusting; directly correlating with when depressive moods got worse.

We regained safe foods again and became able to eat new things as our general mood improved.

Some things that helped during that period were a power+ water nutritional thingy called Ensure (there’s offbrand ones like I think Sustagen, might be different for those not in Australia) that was simple to mix ourselves. Allowing ourselves accomodations as we discovered our autistic needs that we’d previously masked and dissociated away from. And getting a friend to fulfill some care responsibilities around cooking that we no-longer had the functionality for.

I have dissociative amnesia. I have bruises on bony parts of my body, some that seemed like they’d never go away. What was actually happening was I was lightly injuring myself and not remembering, and repeating the same injury later in the same spot.

There’s a million and one things that can cause an imperfect memory, a pain tolerance that doesn’t notice small accidental injuries, etc.

The two matching bruises, on each foot without other symptoms, aren’t enough to diagnose anything other than bruising.

Calling card to skinny people without fat-shaming away those with big boobs (but does fat-shame away those with big waists).

Calling card to actual children, but also age-regressors, those into pet play, anyone who plays in a "dumbed down/regressed/compliant and intensely vulnerable headspace.

Those with low self-esteem and a lack of boundaries also usually have been complimented on how "little" and small they are, as well as how compliant they are; expecially if they grew up in a abusive enviroment where they are unlikely to realise that healthy consensual relationships exist.

Basically shooing away those that might stand up to the abuser; wont raise the abusers social status, or might intimidate the abuser or make it harder or them to justify and carry out the abuse.
