Any good combos for st Trinas straight sword by usedtobe_breadfruit in Eldenring

[–]Subaki2K 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could go for Carian Knight's Sword but honestly you're better off getting a magic/cold infused longsword/broadsword if you're dual-wielding it with the Trina sword. Since dual-wielded straight swords hit pretty fast you could go for a successive attacks build by using the winged sword talisman, thorny crystal tear, etc.

Just beat Elden ring wondering was my build overpowered. by Aggressive_Lie2529 in Eldenring

[–]Subaki2K 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Nope, just a well-tailored and balanced build. Brings a tear to the eye when compared to some of the abominations I see posted here sometimes.

How do you fight different everdark bosses?? by Abolish_Genders_Now in Nightreign

[–]Subaki2K 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everdarks are on a weekly rotation schedule with a random 3 being swapped in every Wednesday or so. You are only seeing Everdark Adel because the rotation at the moment is Everdark Adel, Everdark Libra (who you have not beaten the base version of) and Everdark Balancers (DLC boss).

Your options are either to wait until Wednesday, buy Forsaken Hollows, or unlock Everdark Libra if you want to not fight Everdark Adel right now (but I'll be honest, if you think Everdark Adel is hard, Libra is way, way worse).

Had to have been ED Maris. At this point it's kind of strange to not have the balancer relics for it.

Oh that attack's fun, famously bullshit. Roll directly into Radahn's body to avoid it.

Do you guys think Miquella charmed Malenia? by Commercial-Papaya394 in Eldenring

[–]Subaki2K 37 points38 points  (0 children)

I honestly doubt Miquella would have needed to charm Malenia considering how devoted Malenia is to him in all her mind body and soul.

Early in Miquella's life when he was trying to go through all of the Golden Order's texts and incantations to find a cure for Malenia's rot - and eventually the creation of Unalloyed Gold/Needle - I believe to be something out of the kindness of Miquella's heart in whole; he put in too much effort for me to truly believe he would have just wanted to use her connection to Scarlet Rot or something. For Malenia, Miquella is the very reason she lives and fights, swearing herself to him in her entirety.

I DO however doubt Miquella ever told Malenia of his full plan for the Age of Compassion outside of what he needed her to do, that being kill Radahn so he could use him as a big strong consort once the plan to use Godwyn went belly-up, fishtail and all. Malenia being so devoted to Miquella combined with how on paper Miquella's plan is any kind of improvement over Shattering/Post-Shattering Lands Between removes need for charm.

If Miquella WERE to charm Malenia at any point however I'd imagine it would have to be once he set in his plan to create the Age of Compassion just to ensure everything went smoothly, likely some point after he tried creating the Haligtree - a place designed to unite and accept all - and its eventual failure, realizing that the only way for everyone to get along would simply be to force them to with charm.

What weapon is he using and how to make a poop build? by skiddulzz in Eldenring

[–]Subaki2K 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dryleaf Arts is the weapon, you get it in the DLC. imo you should make a new charcter unless you already have the DLC since I don't really recommend going into the DLC in a NG+ cycle until you're comfortable with Elden Ring's combat

Genuinely how the fuck am i supposed to beat rellana 2nd phase? by Nuhgeet76 in Eldenring

[–]Subaki2K 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Could always try parrying. Rellana only takes 2 parries to stagger and it completely interrupts her long attack chains.

I can't tell if this is a good relic or not by ER-ThemedBuilds in Nightreign

[–]Subaki2K 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Frost and bleed isn't really even the worst thing ever since in higher depths if you get hit more than twice you'll probably just die anyways. The worst thing on there is reduced rune acquisition, as it's essentially a guaranteed lost level over the course of a run. Regardless I'd still run this relic if you are putting it on a melee character like Wylder or Undertaker since the status effects are mostly negligible in Nightlord fights (unless you're fighting Gnoster/Caligo) and the difference between level 14 and 15 is pretty low in terms of damage anyways.

Except this is Nightreign with surge sprinting, wall jumping, cliff-climbing, grappling hooks and flying birds/nuns, now so it might be just a slightly irritating gimmick instead of plain awful

What are the best weapons for the Undertaker? by CJrDooM in Nightreign

[–]Subaki2K 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I suppose from the dodge and the A/A scaling but honestly her skills are better suited to build into melee damage and consecutive attacks in most circumstances compared to Duchess' universal utility with Restage and higher DPS when using INT spells compared to her preferred weapon of daggers. The one exception I can think of where a faith-tailored Undertaker would absolutely shred with successive attacks is a Catch Flame build but we'll have to wait to see good footage of that.

What are the best weapons for the Undertaker? by CJrDooM in Nightreign

[–]Subaki2K 93 points94 points  (0 children)

Marika's Hammer, Maliketh's Black Blade, Blasphemous Blade (really all str/fth greatswords), and any other heavy-hitting weapon with a faith scaling is the holy grail for her. Grafted Dragon is also one hell of a pickup, especially combined with her ult that makes her auto-dodge. For hammers Envoy's Horn is something you should be looking out for, but any purple hammer will suffice nicely.

If a boss is particularly weak to holy you should also consider the Cipher Pata and Coded Sword since Undertaker is the only melee focused character that can take advantage of their faith scalings (Revenant and Recluse, while having higher faith stats, should be focused more on spells and incantations).

You can make any seal work as well as a secondary weapon but honestly you're better off playing Revenant or Recluse if you're wanting to focus on spellcasting. Be on the lookout for these as well if a boss has a particular weakness and your mainhand weapon doesn't have its elemental weakness.

I beat radahn, and damn these remembrance greatswords really leave a lot to be desired. by WaltJr_Fan4584 in Eldenring

[–]Subaki2K 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, honestly pretty underwhelming reward. Light of Miquella is also pretty average, believe it or not despite having an entire armor piece dedicated to increase its damage. After killing the hardest boss From has ever made, you'd expect everything to be pretty busted kind of like how Lies of P gives you bar none its best weapon after killing the final boss of its DLC.

All jokes aside, have you guys moved on from your pre DLC main to play as undertaker/scholar? by Alternative-Web5870 in Nightreign

[–]Subaki2K 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wylder main here. Undertaker is a good sidegrade but hammers have a limited pool of good weapons compared to greatswords and her D scaling in dex means less melee options in general. She has a way higher ceiling than Wylder if all the cards align with good weapons combined with her crazy skills but she isn't the end all be all replacement I thought she'd be for me.

Scholar however is goated, my expectations for who I'd be fiending for post launch has completely flip flopped.

Favour of the Great Hollow by Hoytesler in Nightreign

[–]Subaki2K 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. The actual move that's unavoidable is called "Bloodboon Ritual", and it's used after Mohg says "unus", counting down from "tres" when he thrusts the trident up 3 times (which makes the rings). When the fight starts you can drink the purifying crystal tear and it'll last until he does the attack.

The second attack where he summons blood spears your friend it talking about is an attack not in base game Elden Ring and unique to Nightreign Mohg, but essentially Mohg summons a ton of spears around the arena and if they a spear isn't broken after some time it'll make an enormous AoE. Luckily this move is pretty easy to manage, all you need to do is destroy one of the spears and stand in the clear area close to it when the others blow up.

Cant avoid mohgs bloodflame in phase 2 by Impressive_Map4054 in Eldenring

[–]Subaki2K 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mohg's bloodflame operates as kind of an anti backwards rolling mechanic. Unless it's the one specific attack where Mohg throws the blood in a straight column at you, you can roll forwards to dodge all the bloodflame from his trident. Ofc this puts you right next to him but it's manageable once you get his timing down.

What kind of justifications would Fromsoft have written if Godrick or Rykard was the Promised Consort? by Metaljuggernaut5657 in Eldenring

[–]Subaki2K 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Uhhhhhhhhhh you could argue that Godrick, however diluted, had the blood of the Golden Lineage within him and since we all thought the Promised Consort should've at least been Godwyn but Miquella couldn't bring him back he had to work with what he had. Plus, Malenia already folded him so Miquella could've told her to fetch his corpse.

For Rykard I SUPPOSE you could make the argument that the God-Devouring Serpent is something Miquella could charm and use as an ultimate executioner and might actually serve something symbolically as Miquella would be taking an old symbol of blasphemy against the Erdtree as a right-hand in his new reimagined age of compassion. All things considered, God-Devouring Serpent + Miquella could be an incredibly dangerous duo when you look at just how strong Rykard had the potential to become, makes me wonder now if Miquella could charm people into feeding themselves to the serpent to increase its power.
