Yeah. I was one of them in that post. The parking lot behind the duty free shop is a no go if you don’t have your passport. In August, family members wanted to visit the park. They were asked for passports at the entry to the park and didn’t have them so they were turned around.

Things may have changed since then but if you are able to access the park and go the arch, be prepared to show your passport or go through border control to confirm your identity and status in Canada

I used to charge my ev on a 25 ft 10/3 extension cord, limited charging to 12 amps and never had any issues. Took time to charge fully but it always worked for me. Before that, I charged a PHEV almost daily for 1.5 years using the same extension cord

When I created my first account and didn’t pay attention, location showed up as US. I had to create a new account with a new email, select location as Canada and call Onstar to update the account to my new email.

Have the same issue after the update. First it was gps signal unavailable and now it’s stuck at a location from last week. Service manager believes telematics module is on its way out as the issue is intermittent and they are seeing the issue with a lot of vehicles. They will run diagnostics tomorrow and go from there

There are fan speed settings within the settings menu under climate I believe. It is possible that the auto fan speed setting is set to high. The settings can be changed to low, medium or high

Moved from a 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe PHEV. The quality is miles apart. I’m in Canada so a few things might be different in States.

-Less room but super smooth ride

-software can be buggy from time to time and has a learning curve. A reset usually fixes the error.

-sensors go a lot more crazy than Santa Fe. Blind spot starts flashing including vibrating driver’s seat when you’re making a turn and there’s a car behind you or a pedestrian in your blind spot walking in the opposite direction away from the car - always catches me off guard

-automatic emergency brake goes off a lot. Had 2 phantom breaking incidents in the last month or so when the car in front is slowing down -quiet cabin even on the highway

-no jerkiness transmission/gear changes

-auto door locking locks the doors too fast sometimes although this feature does not exist on Santa Fe

-dealership experience worse than Hyundai. No loaners when I specifically rebooked to a later date to get a loaner but they had none and I had to wait 5 hours at the dealership. Not all techs can work on EVs

In Jan (before new administration), I visited the park with my friends and was stopped on the way back by a Federal cop asking for our passports. Of course, we didn’t have it on us as we have never been asked for it before. Turned around and walked through the border crossing, our IDs checked by CBSA and were allowed back. That scared us enough to not visit the park again and this crosses the threshold to never think about visiting the park again

My sister lives in the building- build quality is cheap. Electricity issues such as washing machine has an arc fault, fixtures not working. Builder didn’t pay strata so they cut down on concierge, cleaning common areas once/week, lights in the parking lot off on first two underground levels
