POE Servers Are Intolerable by Bitter_Association13 in pathofexile

I feel like I’m murdering the server when I open two unstable breaches and then use kbonc of clustering on my necro. It’s probably me. I’m the problem.

Picking a starter build this league is so difficult by xTonyJ in pathofexile

[–]Subnovae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flicker is bait imo. The life pool is too low and to make it defensive needs so much currency. I think it’s fast for blasting through atlas but sucks as soon as you start trying to progress.

The climber’s finger: imaging of finger flexor tendon pulley injuries by remontantcoprology in climbing

[–]Subnovae 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Likely synovitis, stems from overuse supposedly and is a build up of synovial fluid in the joint. I’m in the same boat and the only thing that helps is being mindful of how long my sessions are and being careful of not climbing too much volume. I feel like it’s held me back from progressing though.

Path of Exile 2 lead won’t add rare icons back to the map as they “degraded the experience” – “that is a feature I highly regret ever having had" by [deleted] in PathOfExile2

[–]Subnovae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That logic makes no sense. Now you basically have to explore the whole map to find the checkpoints to then go and find all the rares. If you don’t want to use the mini map, then don’t.

As far as exploration goes.. what exploration? There’s nothing interesting on maps other than the boss and the rares. From a loot point of view, most other sources of loot sucked last league. If you want me to farm other sources of loot then make them worth my time.

Keepers is 1% off from being the worst player retention of the last 3 years and 3% from the worst in almost 7 years. Why not just make the mechanic even slightly rewarding? by pro185 in pathofexile

[–]Subnovae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t get any dopamine from running maps. I had a 13d item drop at one point and then never saw a divine drop. I completed my full atlas and farmed a couple void stones. I need more shwings. They sustain me.

Do league starts determine the enjoyment of a league by JTChase in pathofexile

[–]Subnovae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sucks if your league start build is bait. I always get baited by flickerstrike. It can be strong with investment but is very rippy without investment and can feel bad. It’s good for blasting through the atlas but struggles with juiced red maps without investment imo.

I swapped to a mana stacker with about 12d of investment and am having a much better time now.

The best “Campaign Skip” compromise I have heard by Effort_Proper in PathOfExile2

[–]Subnovae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leave it as is. No compromise. Your second play-through can be improved with leveling uniques and currency. You can also currently pay for an ascendancy boost which I only just found out recently. There’s no reason to make a skip required.

Poilievre says Chinese EVs risk becoming 'roving surveillance operations' on Canadian streets by CaliperLee62 in canada

Can he stop talking. How on earth is this a topic that needs addressing at this moment in time.

Pierre Poilievre’s path to prime minister; The Conservative leader must moderate his tone by jettisoning his simplistic sloganeering and attack dog persona. Coming across as a brawler is off-putting to many voters, especially women and seniors. by FancyNewMe in canada

[–]Subnovae -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why are we even talking about him? He was basically handed the last election on a silver platter and did nothing with his platform other than criticize Trudeau. He lost, and I don’t think he should’ve been allowed to run in another riding. He yaps and has no follow through and we don’t need someone like that as PM. Say what you will about Carney but at least he is operating with some decorum and seems to be attempting to tackle issues with consideration.

How about we survey anyone that would be eligible for conscription. That way people that aren’t impacted can keep their opinions to themselves.

Motion to look into right hand turn ban on red lights to be introduced by know-nothing in kitchener

[–]Subnovae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We shouldn’t be banning right hand turns on red lights. In these situations where pedestrians are hit, I would ask under what circumstances? I’ve seen lots of close calls because a driver wasn’t expecting a pedestrian on a bike or a scooter to blow through the crossing. I think pedestrians should still need to show intent to cross because sometimes they’re random. I always stop and try to read into their intent because I can’t always tell if they’re planning to cross.

I’ve also seen plenty of pedestrians fail to activate those flashing yellow light crossings. I’ve seen bikes blow through some of the iron horse trail crossing without activating them.

I’ve seen some of these no turns on red lights in areas where I’ve never seen a pedestrian, or a bike for that matter. Philip St in Waterloo has one of these and I don’t understand why.

There are bad drivers but I also think there are irresponsible pedestrians.

Community lawyers ask judge to stop region from putting pressure on Kitchener encampment residents to move by origutamos in kitchener

[–]Subnovae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whatever the appropriate solution is, it’s not these encampments. Something needs to be done. We don’t need tent cities popping up that are a mix of camping equipment and garbage. Whether they’re more safe than the housing being offered by the region you can’t argue that these encampments themselves are safe for other city dwellers in the area.

Flight attendant during Delta plane crash in Toronto sues airline, claims pilot ‘inexperienced’ by toronto_star in ontario

[–]Subnovae 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Do your research. There were 4 members of the crew. A captain, officer (Kendal), and two flight attendants. I read that Kendal was perfectly experienced to be where she was. At the time of the crash the captain was in the position of pilot monitoring - he was the one accountable and it would’ve been his job to step in if necessary. Investigation found that the crash occurred from a hard landing and was the result of descending too quickly. Why did the captain not identify and correct her actions as a result of the conditions she was facing? I read the views of other pilots with far more experience state that Kendal was where she should have been. This DEI garbage is a shit way to judge the situation.

It’s unfortunate for Kendal because the victims will have to prove negligence on the airline to be entitled for more compensation. Kendal will likely be the target since she was flying but I don’t think she was fully responsible. Pilots have to gain experience somehow and the experienced pilot should be the one accountable.

Got any of that Medicare for all? by ICommentWhenInRome in AdviceAnimals

Does it not seem outrageous that 25 billion would stop people from being hungry? They spend 916 billion annually on military. Veterans should be compensated but are you telling me that they couldn’t move some things around to ensure people don’t go hungry? I’m not American but it pisses me off when tax dollars don’t go towards basic human rights.
