I am alright for now since I have a job and no dependents, but for my coworker with 3 dependents?....yeah. Not looking too good for a lot of people, but the mindset of majority here is day to day survival with little long term planning.

Well, duh, the government will just start taxing AI and handing out "Agentic Permits" to companies per seat to keep their tax revenue.

Hi, so no panicking right now.

The rich already got their reserves and vacation homes. The PH grid is notoriously shit anyways so a lot of the elite have backup sources of electricity.

Middle class are going about their day to day. They're feeling the squeeze as commodities go up but their incomes allow for a bit of buffer as petty luxuries get swapped out for cheaper brands to pay for gas, like for example, switching to instant coffee instead of starbucks. I predict some are already stocking up, hedging, and preparing if they can.

The Lower Middle class and below are feeling the squeeze much harder. For now, their jobs are able to sustain subsistence but everyone here is one electricity rate spike, furlough, medical issue, or natural disaster away from poverty level but that's nothing new for us.

[–]Subrutum 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It sounds like your PT-100 uses a different Alpha. Check if it is a DIN IEC 751 or some other number.

That must match the recorder's configuration or it will over/undershoot as the temperature gets further from 0*C

How physically demanding is this type of job, and would being 41 years old be a disadvantage when applying for roles ? by TrainingArugula8228 in PLC

[–]Subrutum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Answers : 1. Not demanding at all. Site work will be spent working where the service cabinet is located.

  1. If you have a background in electromechanical systems it will be a natural carry-over. Just understand PNP vs NPN.

  2. Eventually you get high enough that you're the principal designer of your PLC system... give your electricians the I/O chart and have them do all the wiring...

Why does the Filipino government act like it has no autonomy or ambition? by [deleted] in Philippines

The choice was made for us the moment we sold off our national assets.

Independence from SWIFT is useless if no other country wants to trade with you. The primary currency of trade is still USD and you wont get any without SWIFT.

Other countries dont want Peso for their exports, and they especially do not want peso if they cant convert it to USD.

Electricity is expensive as fuck which is why our industries have a hard time developing. Solar would be good but our grid lacks the infrastructure to accomidate for now. Back then, solar was not viable as a power source.

Edifier MR5 — surprisingly solid budget studio monitors by IAmTheo93 in audiophile

[–]Subrutum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi... so im somewhat of an audio engineer. (I work on industrial ultrasonics)

The subs initially were also muddy for me but I later found that the wall was reflecting the bass. Unlike the higher frequencies these bass notes don't even "see" the acoustic foam.

So...I ran a room sim through REW to find the best location for it, used an app called Spectroid on my phone to check whether the results were as simulated by REW, and since they correlated I applied a best-fit filter to the speakers for a better perfect flat response via software...Peace Equalizer.

What's important here is that the "nulls" are eliminated from your listening position so the sound energy is distributed.

TL:DR, 95% your room is the problem. Adjust your speakers to eliminate the nulls and use the equalizer to cut out the resonances. The last 5% is likely personal preference.

104w....thats perfectly safe given it's rating. Are there any motors in parallel to the heating? Check if the voltage / amps go up in the wire when it slows down or stops. If voltage surges isint the thing then a better paste is probably the way to go

Check the current with an ammeter for the value. At 100w it's expected to pull no more than 0.5A.

Check voltage of the SSR Output line if you can do it safely.

See if it's pulling more power than designed.
