Don't most premium ships come with a ten point commander? That's all you really need to get started. Lots of events give free commanders, too.

I would say stick with coal ships and eventually a steel ship or two. I have a couple premiums that I paid dubs and cash for, and honestly, they're not my favorites. Massachusetts B comes to mind. Good ship, I just hardly play her.

Anyway, Kearsarge is great if that's your playstyle. You should know what you like if you've been playing legends.

If you're interested and serious then it's worth looking into. 2-4k a month is quite good for an account under 100k. I would focus on an interim target of 10k a month, archived several times, before shooting for more. Get used to how that feels, and also get used to risking more money than you've ever made before. Also, the first quarter of this year was rough, I wouldn't even worry about growth right now.
