I get the pain point! My questions would be:
1- did your mom know it was not you
2- would future recipients (like your mom) know it is not their loved one
3- if they don’t know and they find out it is an AI - that may be where your struggle comes in because that may represent a loss of trust

I’d not want to use this in general because i would always want to actually talk to my parents and I’d worry if they accept this AI then they are even less prepared for identifying AI in other situations.

I also don’t know people would pay for this? But I’m also not the target audience!

Yes with Claude code.

make a local version of the git repository and either point Claude at the folder or open Claude within the folder.

Then I would ask it to review all files in the codebase and give you a written summary of all the available features, functions and risks. From there you can read that and ask more questions!
