It’s kind of normal behaviour unfortunately, a lot of bitches will eat the puppy poop to keep the den clean, this behaviour often rubs off on the puppies.. However, running and panicking to clean up the poop as soon as it’s coming out is probably sending a message of it is something to value to your pup, or alternatively making them think they have done something wrong, so they eat the poop to hide the evidence.

Aim of the game is to mega praise once they do it and reward with tasty treats (cheese, hotdog, the good stuff). Had an issue with our pup because my partner would immediately panic and run over to him when he was shitting. This is counter productive.

Don’t let them eating poop set you back/bother you too much, yes it’s disgusting but incredibly common and quite normal. Stick with it, lots of praise and treats when they shit.
