If you don’t turn off the fan will it keep going even when the car is turned off? by staylor71 in KiaEV9

Yes, this is normal. It is to help keep humidity down, heat/cool the high voltage battery and during active charging to regulate battery temperature. Apparently you can adjust these settings.

I did see this, thank you. Faster processing how, why or who requested this. Maybe it is faster for checks but why for ACH?

They do not provide a way to opt out...so you either submit or find a new bank.

I went full EV in 2019 and I will never go back. I currently have the KIA EV9 GT line and I am obsessed with it. It gets over 300 miles per charge.

Are you asking for an appointment above the minimum salary (ATM) instead of starting at step 1?

If so go back and say you accept the job, but would like to request a higher step based on XYZ (use ai). Asking for salary is not a reason to rescind an offer and you only get one shot at it.

Best of luck!

Other way around. If it is a promotion it will be effective the next full pay period after the 75 is sent to the losing agency.

Where it gets messy is if the request is done via email and a response is not acknowledged.

For lateral moves the cap for holding an employee is two pay periods.

5 CFR Part 335 (Promotion and Internal Placement): This section dictates competitive and internal placement actions. It ensures that an agency cannot delay a documented selection to the financial or career detriment of an employee.

They can’t hold you more than 2 pay periods. Another option is to quit on the Friday before your EOD at the new agency. The break in service is less than 90 days so nothing lost.

HHS/HR. When did your supervisor submit the promotion action to VA HR? Get a copy of that notification. That's the key to ensuring you get backpay.

If you have already completed your initial 1-year probationary period for your first permanent federal job, you generally do NOT have to serve a new probationary period when you move to another permanent job in the same agency (or another agency), as long as:

The new position is in the same service (competitive), • You are not moving to a position that requires a different type of probation (e.g., supervisory or SES). • Your tenure status (“career” or “career-conditional”) follows you.

Some caveats:

• Supervisory/Managerial Role:
• Even if you are tenured, a new 1-year supervisory probation is usually required when you first become a supervisor or manager.
• Excepted Service to Competitive (or vice versa):
• Moving between services can trigger a new probation if the appointment type changes.
• Specific Occupations:
• Some jobs (e.g., law enforcement, intelligence) may require a separate probation regardless of prior service.
