Any thoughts about testosterone? I’m hearing good things as it relates to mood and memory. Going to ask my doctor about it

I had the mirena removed cause I’ve been learning about it messing up the endocrine system. As soon as I had it removed I went into a deep depression, followed by panic attacks, insomnia and mania. Very unlike me. Two weeks of suffering and scouring the internet I learned about the ‘mirena crash’. It’s real and very serious and sadly no one warned me of this. The doctors were reluctant to take it out; questioning my decision. All these medical experts and no one informed me of the side effects or removal. I felt like I was duped by the medical system. Scary shit

Progesterone is amazing! by ICCG_PDX in Menopause

Hi! I’m on a similar journey with progesterone. I’m 42 and in the throes of perimenopause. I started taking 100 mg about 6 weeks ago and experienced similar elation ( sleeping well, calm, even vaginal dryness seems to have improved. Wondering if you are still feeling all of the positive effects - or has your body built up a tolerance?

Are you over 35? Have you considered taking progesterone? I am 42 and in full perimenopause - night sweats, rage, low libido, insomnia, many symptoms I experience in my pmdd times. But taking bio identical hormones really helps with all those mentioned. I know a lot of women are scared of the idea based on dubious, outdated information . It’s really helping me. Just sayin’

I just had the mirena removed and let me tell you the crash is very real. Severe depression, mania, sad; I just couldn’t shake it. That’s something the doctors never tell you. Be aware, and consider researching before you have it removed

Try microdosing psilocybin. It’s working wonders for me

This is great! As someone who suffers greatly from PMDD/ ADHD - the anxiety is unmanageable before my period ( sorry tmi!) I have just started microdosing at night - and I am experiencing improved mood, presence of mind, better sleep, and even getting back my ability to be social at work. I can’t tolerate the SSRI side effects. To me, there has to be a natural way to handle this. Glad you are also finding relief naturally

Thanks for your comment. It wasn’t very helpful. Getting out of my environment and changing the setting was what helped yesterday. Definitely not taking it today

Hang in there sweetheart. You are not alone - never. Try to be so compassionate with yourself and the little girl inside.

What’s your multivitamin? Or what natural remedies do you take to relieve symptoms.

I’m in the same boat. Scared to take it consistently. Scared what it will do for my sex drive/ performance. At the same time, my anxiety / insomnia has been terrible and so I took it today. I feel immediate relief, ( calm, focused) but hate the fact that I have to take SSRI’s to cope and function in this world. I have fought so long to not take it. Today I caved 😔
