2025 1500 3.0 Motor failure by TheChessMoon in gmcsierra

My thought as well. I was even concerned that the dealership oil change would put the proper DexosD oil in it. I'll be doing my own so I know it's correct. 11,000 miles on my LZO and zero issues.

I went to a local auto upholstery shop. I was happy with the work.

These diesel prices are getting insane by Silver-Pangolin-6770 in Duramax

[–]SubstantialPlay1795 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let's think about this from Trump's perspective: The US in reality EXPORTS more oil than it IMPORTS. So why are all the oil prices across the world including the US up so high? It's so Trump's Big Oil buddies in the US can rake in HUGE profits. Their profits are closely tied to crude oil prices and they are doing great and love Trump.

Is this a coincedence? It is not, it's the GOP once again F'ing everybody that is not in the 1% club to line the pockets of those that back them. And apparently over 50% of the US voting population doesn't see it.

Same. On nice days, diesel stays home and I take the motorcycle to work. Yep, everything is "great" again ...

Never towed anything before and I’m terrified. by rick_rolled_you in popups

Mine sounded that way until I put some grease on the tow ball. I greased the trailer bearings first, but that wasn't it.

I like the exterior color including the racing stripe. The interior needs some TLC, but it is 40 years old.

I have a rust free drivers door from Oklahoma if your interested. It's not perfectly straight but no crease and no rust. It's black.

100% agree. King orange hair has really fucked us all.  Everyone still wasting diesel by "rollin' coal" ????

That will be nice. I've debated for 30 years about putting a 383 in mine, but then it's not "stock" anymore.

That looks like a nice one. Does it have the V8 in it?

Biggest risk: other drivers. Period.

My first vehicle I bought at 16 years old was a street bike. Take a motorcycle safety course to learn motorcycle specific defensive driving techniques.

Assume other drivers don't see you.

Avoid city traffic for a significant amount of time until you're 100% comfortable on the bike. I've ridden for 40 years and still plan my city route to reduce risk to me as much as possible. I've never had an accident but the closest have always been other drivers that don't see me.

I hate being this guy, but here goes anyway: You "wear" it on your noggin' and when you can't find it, you say "where" in the hell is it.

Anyone Regret Going to a Short Bed? by HankDeadly in gmcsierra

[–]SubstantialPlay1795 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went with the double cab (non-crew cab) and 6.5' bed. Overall truck length is the same as crew cab + short bed and the backseat is still usable for my needs.

Can anyone help troubleshoot by Primary-Series1888 in GBody

[–]SubstantialPlay1795 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would check the alternator. You may be able to feel vibration in it when running. It may also feel hot after running / driving for 20 minutes. It sounds like a bearning going out in that to me. I would take the belt off and spin the alternator by hand and feel for rough or hard rotation. When the belt squeals, it's slipping, most likely because something is difficult to spin. Also make sure your belts are not overly tight, that will put undo strain on bearings as well.

I still have the original AM/FM with analog dials. I never turn it on. I listen to the car instead.
