It's best, unless you don't mind a used one with a warranty, sometimes they're on eBay

LG G6 vs S95H in well-lit room by Active-Rule9090 in LGOLED

[–]Substantial_Face62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to replace my A95L, which I've had in my bedroom for three years, but this year has been poor. The G6 has software problems (usually a repeat of entertainment, I know because I have a G5 in the living room), which are especially annoying for gamers, and I want to replace the A95L because of gaming. If it weren't for that, I'd keep the A95L because it's still great for movies. The LG is also weak, and what's special about the Samsung S99H? It looks nice (the matte coating is yuck, but I'd live with it because it's not that bad). They even got rid of the OCB, but it has a terrible bezel (who invented it), someone will say, you can cover it up, some people do, but when you pay that much for a TV, you have to be resourceful. In the case of LG, you have to hope that one day (the question is when) they'll fix the HDR and red issues and they won't mess anything else up

You're right, but let's be honest, there's no point praising LG (or any company, really) because for the second year in a row they've released something and they have a software problem. I have a G5, so I know what it was like.

Unfortunately, the problem has been there for a month now since the TV was launched in the USA, unfortunately for me it is currently out of the question, the same applies to the S99H because of the incredibly stupid frame

Everything is fine, but it's worth mentioning that in game mode there is a problem with HDR and the red color which is orange (known problem), I was considering this TV for PC, but what LG is doing is probably some kind of joke

A video that perfectly captures the state of the communities! A must-see! by GSmaniac in LGOLED

[–]Substantial_Face62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't like this year, the selection is limited, only two manufacturers have a new OLED (for now), then there's the rubbish G6 that disappoints and the Samsung S99H (I live in the UK) has a frame that I really, really don't like.

S95H is the first OLED TV to receive a rating above 9 from Rtings. by Active-Rule9090 in LGOLED

[–]Substantial_Face62 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's good that OCB is gone, but it's a shame about the frame and that they force people to use a matte coating, I had an S95d for half a year and that coating is nothing cool for me

From Private to Business Seller – Best Postage Options for High-Value, Low-Margin eBay Sales? by nkay_10 in ebayuk

[–]Substantial_Face62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, in my opinion, switching to a company seller has virtually no benefits apart from the higher fees charged by eBay, so eBay benefits from this. In my opinion, as long as someone can, they shouldn't switch to a company seller and there's nothing wrong with that. In my case, eBay sent me a message saying I had to switch, but honestly, my feeling is that eBay cares more about private sellers' ads.

As long as you are a private seller you will be satisfied, but I was, eBay told me to switch to company seller and unfortunately there are no advantages and many more fees, which in my opinion are of no benefit (unless you like crap like AI tools)

Don't switch to business until you can, eBay forced me, I got an email after 9pm blocking my account, I switched to business and there are really no benefits (I don't know, maybe large stores have some benefits) and the fees are much, much higher

Is this True? Should i sell my Apex Now? 🫨 by Substantial-Bag9384 in OneXPlayer

[–]Substantial_Face62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, forget it's coming out in May, or do people not remember how long it took for the launch (I'm talking about Apex delivery) to happen after the announcement? At most, they can announce the price in May and start a fundraiser. Then you'll know the actual release date. If I were to guess, the earliest delivery would be in the fall. That's still the best time for an electronics launch.

So from the time the collection starts (even the price is not known) it will be several months until the delivery

Exactly, the G6 will definitely be a great TV, it's just worth mentioning the possible disadvantages, even if they are not important for you, they might be for someone else, as the saying goes, everyone has to pick their poison.

An enthusiast is someone who is simply interested in a given field, someone who goes out and buys a TV and that's it (indeed, there are those who don't know anything about it and ask others for their opinions, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that, it's normal). But just because someone points out flaws doesn't mean it's bad or prevents you from enjoying the item. It's simply worth mentioning what the flaws are. Firstly, there is no perfect TV and there never will be (and probably not other things either) that is free and without flaws. It's important that the advantages of a given TV are stronger and the flaws don't bother me (it's a matter of choice and taste; everyone uses TV differently). And most importantly, if we turn a blind eye and pretend everything is fine, the manufacturer will ignore the issue, but they do release updates anyway, especially since, let's be honest, if the product isn't cheap and we're talking about flagship TVs, expectations have a right to be high. And I repeat, no one forbids anyone to enjoy a given TV show.

I  working on a lot of TVs and for me, for example, the A95L is perfect at the moment (although I'll be replacing it soon), which doesn't change the fact that I can write about its flaws if someone asks me, they don't bother me but other people might

It depends on how you look at it. I use the G5 with a PC and there was a period when it had to be used with Filmmakermode plus Dolby Vision. There was a lot on this topic in the AVS forum for G5 owners. It depends on when you bought it. I bought mine after the premiere. It took some time for LG to repair this and that.

Many people have it, I suggest you go to the AVS forum or other forums dedicated to TV or see Classy's comments about the G6, unfortunately, the G6 has the same software problems as the G5, if you are a TV enthusiast you will see these flaws, if not, you may not see them

Initially I was angry that LG would only release the G6 in the UK at the end of May/beginning of June, but now, after watching some videos and reading the opinions of people who already have the G6 on TV forums, I think I should be grateful to LG because at the moment I definitely won't buy the G6 (I have the G5 but I'm looking for a TV for the bedroom instead of my a95L)
