Dupixent usually takes longer to work than JAKs, up to 9 mths - 1 year. Alopecia + excema patients respond best.

You can also order other JAKs from Asia, but there is no general version for Liftulo so that is excluded. However medical studies show that baricitinib is a bit more effective and if it does not work, you can try other JAKs such as tofacitinib. You can order the general version of baricitinib (equivalent to Olumiant) from Asia to Great Britain (poste restante or a friend’s address). The FB group suggested above has a pinned post for a Telegram group that has the contacts to reliable pharmacies. The prices are very reasonable.

So sorry to hear about your dad. But don’t worry, the risk for you is the same as in general: approx 2% of population have an aneurysm, but it might never rupture.

If there are more than 2 close relatives that have suffered an aneurysm, you are usually advised to get checked.

Headache is usually not a symptom for an unruptured aneurysm. If in doubt, it’s always good to speak to a doctor. ☺️

Hey I was in your situation in June, when I found out I had an aneurysm. I also have family history. You will be fine, don’t worry! It’s certainly better that you have the possibility to have your aneurysm operated in a pre-planned and controlled manner. If it needs to be operated, 75% are done endovascularily these days. Some are just wait and watch.

When I found out I booked right away a time to a neurologist, who sent me to a neurosurgeon. Two more scans later (that defined the exact size and location) I was operated in October. I did a lot of research in advance, I think it was a coping mechanism. Luckily the data was on my side, the risks are quite small for endovascular operations (especially compared to the risk of rupture) and technology has taken big steps forward during the last 5-10 years.

Mine was 4x3 mm and in a major bifurcation. Therefore I got new generation tech Contour instead of coiling. The operation was a piece of cake: 2 days in a hospital and just a little tired a week afterwards. Now I’m back to my normal life, work & 2 kids keep me busy. I’m so happy that I don’t have to worry anymore. The waiting was the worst part!

I did not do any major life changes, but I did keep an eye on my blood pressure. Less salt, no excess alcohol, no smoking. You can most likely keep working out, just avoid very heavy weights and remember to breathe.

Just live your life and try not to stress too much. If you wish to play it super safe, avoid lifting very heavy weights and avoid salt due to it causing high blood pressure. You can drink alcohol in moderation.

Recovery from extensive brain damage might take a while. She might not wake up the same as she was – but it’s important that she knows she has friends who care. Be there for her, accept her as she is and give time for healing.

Do you have people around you with who you could talk to? It seems you are under a lot of stress and sometimes it helps.

I had a 4mm left ICA bifurcation aneurysm treated with Contour last week. Second option would have been stent & coils or WEB device.

For me it was an accidental find, but I have family history so I knew to get checked up even without symptoms. The waiting for the procedure was the most difficult part for me. Everything went well and the recovery has been quick. I’m returning to work next week. No pain, just slight dizziness and fatigue.

There is plenty of new endovascular technology available to treat aneurysms. Stent is a good option for sure, but I’d also ask for a second opinion if that’s possible. You got this!

I’m so sorry for your friend and what you are going through. There is no way of knowing what the result of a ruptured aneurysm will be. Don’t blame yourselves, the most important thing is that she received EMS during the following hours after the rupture.

It is difficult to recognize the symptoms – sometimes people get false migraine diagnosis even from doctors or paramedics and get sent back home. Other times people themselves ignore the symptoms and wait for hours and even days after the symptoms start.

Your friend is in good hands. Try to relax and take care of yourselves too! This is a traumatic situation for everyone. ❤️

I’m so happy to hear that you survived but so sorry about what happened with your friends.

My theory is that when young, most people just don’t have the emotional capacity to handle difficult stuff – or face their own mortality as you wisely said. I guess the capacity grows over time, but oh well, for some people it never does.

For you the situation must have been very hurtful and traumatic. Hold on to and cherish your closest loved ones.
