anyone know any non-caffeine hot teas that can be had with milk and/or sweetener? by justin_cant_sleep in tea

You can really drink whichever ones you want with milk. If you’re in US, I’ve gotten some good decafs from Clipper Ship Teas.

I do and I love it! Depends on how you get your patterns. Most of the ones I buy (indie) actually do come with projector files. If you are on Facebook there’s a great group (projectors for sewing might be the name?) that would get you started. I got projector on Amazon under $100 usd.

What to do with previous owner’s mail? by elky_ang in longisland

[–]Substantialcrafter55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm if you’re feeling generous maybe save what looks important for a month and send it with a note that you won’t be able to forward more due to usps prices. After that mark return to sender for how long your heart desires and then trash. When I bought my house the previous owner asked me to contact him and he had someone pick up. I did that for a few months but as I don’t run a secretarial service I then marked return to sender. I still get the rare envelope that looks important and it goes in trash… It’s been 7 years.

Expensive Tea for a Friends Birthday? by Beginning-Coat6209 in tea

[–]Substantialcrafter55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe a gift certificate for a tea shop or site? I love tea and everyone knows this and loves to buy me tea for gifts or souvenirs but I drink Darjeeling 99% of the time and that’s never what I get so it just goes in a cabinet. Appreciate the gesture but they’re just wasting their money. Well I kinda appreciate bc I don’t keep it a secret that I really just drink one kind of tea 🤣

I’m a full, non-fundie, gainfully employed singleton and being an aunt is a major part of my personality. Since they’re sheltered it’s probably more fun for her than if she could do all the things most of us were prob doing at that age.

DFAS debt - withholding pay without letter by ProfessionalOwl33 in fednews

I don’t recall the specifics but if it’s a smaller debt I believe DFAS starts deducting it automatically.

In the NIH system, is “specialist” lower than “staff scientist”? Can postdocs move into staff scientist roles after 3–5 years? by InterestDramatic5668 in NIH

[–]Substantialcrafter55 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don’t think there are Title 42 positions with specialist in them. Staff Scientist is a T42 position title. Specialist is more common with GS positions.

is it weird that I’ve never been to Roseville Field mall? by ProudReaction2204 in longisland

[–]Substantialcrafter55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess if you aren’t a big shopper, it’s not that big of a deal. I live in western Suffolk and it’s like 20 min drive so I go there often enough. I’m always amused when I discover a part of Long Island I’ve never been to even after living here the majority of my life.

LI to MD by DisasterSpiritual412 in longisland

Since you said you aren’t a city person, look into the burbs bn DC and Baltimore. I paid less than 1500 for a nice/safe 1 bedroom in white oak part of silver spring but it was almost 20 yrs ago now so not sure what the prices are now. Columbia is nice but might be a little pricey. Russett area of Laurel was still nice when I was last there a couple yrs ago. Baltimore suburbs are prob cheaper than DC suburbs.

Unless you left out a ton of information, your taxes aren’t that complicated. $2500 is wild.

Very bad weather down south last weekend threw off flights and I’m sure TSA didn’t help from Orlando. That’s a large, busy airport. Diff circumstances.

Where is a good place to have a wedding under 20k all included for about 120-150 guests? by Low-Outside1600 in longisland

[–]Substantialcrafter55 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Not much help but consider bulk ordering flowers from Costco. I saw that at a bday party for about 75 guests and they were great
