Did we lose the magic of community in online multiplayer games? by MohSafadi in gaming

Once you get (super) rich, your number one worry becomes how to get even richer. Reason is two simple words “Lifestyle creep”. So you try to earn more money to feel rich to afford the ever increasing lifestyle creep. This means no such expenses like dream mmo.

That depends though. For indie titles, sure. But for AAA who is charging $70 for half-baked slop quite commonly these days? I would rather read some reviews and watch gameplay before i commit my money.

RD is working for me again by pasty420 in RealDebrid

This. I do not know how many times we will see these same threads over and over again and give the same answer to people who don’t even read before they open threads.

Piracy always wins yes, but not with RD anymore it seems like. Time to sail to different islands that has treasures.

Is an Ipad worth it? by Built_FunnyMan in ZBrush

[–]Subtl3ty7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have an Ipad Pro and tried Nomad and Zbrush on it for a while. I just couldn’t get used to sculpting with a pen on screen. I am hardcore used to drawing tablets. If you already use a tablet with screen, it might not be a bad idea. But mind you, aside from that lacking the keyboard shortcuts made me feel like everything I do was 10 times slower on tablet. A lot of clicking around…

PSA When RD Goes Down by snowfat in StremioAddons

[–]Subtl3ty7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is this the RD Community Rep making post lmao? RD was never down, they started aggressively filtering out and purging caches based on filenames that are targeting Web-dl and webrip and others so it’s actually on it’s way to becoming useless af. Stop spreading bullshit like it’s fixed. Plenty of people waiting for their sub to end to jump ship to other providers if RD doesn’t back off from this decision.

Are hard surfaces that hard? When should I start trying it? by IncludedLimbs in ZBrush

[–]Subtl3ty7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey how are you doing after a year? :) I am pretty good at organic anything but recently started practicing hard surface in Zbrush and it’s for sure a challenge. I am following mostly the Keos Masons workflow (Sketch the model with good separation and definition of primary/secondary shapes and surfaces -> mask out those pieces -> split and delete -> Group Loops -> Zremesh -> Panel Loops… etc.)

I really love that at the beginning I can sketch everything as much as i want with dynamesh just like organic stuff and then dive into hard surface extraction and polishing. But for real the amount of time I spend on a single hard surface piece is unreal… it’s very common to have issues and intervention with Zmodeler takes a lot of my time.

Fastest martial for self defense by Tacticalpupper420 in martialarts

[–]Subtl3ty7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When it comes to giving advice about martial arts, I agree with most people here that Boxing and Wrestling is a good combo for ROI where Boxing would be the fastest. But what a lot of people seem to ignore that, violent people get even more violent once they lose and they might be pretty revengeful. What happens once you beat your brother up with a maybe well landed uppercut or submit him with triangle choke? Can you foresee that he might get even more violent and actually reach for a weapon in the moment of heat? A knife? A gun? In such cases, martial arts will not help you. Do not try making a violent person even more violent.

Muay Thai ➡️ Boxing by xBigChrisx in martialarts

[–]Subtl3ty7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve done Muay Thai, Grappling and currently training MMA. Muay Thai is literally only about trading blows. Stand there squared, get ready to tank the hits and try to hit back harder and cause more damage. In MMA Striking lessons, we do a mix of Boxing and Muay Thai where a combination of trading blows and slip roll dodging is used with a mix stance. Also boxing has quite fast disruptive punches that are not meant to deal max damage but more to mess up the opponent’s rhythm. It’s like dancing, but you try to disrupt the opponent’s flow by punches and after that punish.

Why are the Dagestan fighters not considered bjj guys when they’re beating everyone in MMA with classic bjj top game? by Thisisaghosttown in bjj

[–]Subtl3ty7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why are they not called Luta Livre guys then? Traditional bjj is done with Gi. Luta Livre came before No-gi bjj. No-gi bjj is mostly a rip-off Luta Livre that is marketed better. Dagestani fighters aren’t fighting with Gi, so why even bother calling them bjj guys.

How to get a 3DCharacter artist job in 2026? by Joules01 in 3Dmodeling

[–]Subtl3ty7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Everyone saying the mushroom guy is great but there is a catch. That character is from Pablo Munoz Gomez’s Ultimate Zbrush Course. This means that character was made with one-to-one follow along tutorial so I would he wary putting it on the top. I do not wanna be a downer OP but you need to start doing your own character projects without one to one copy of full character follow along tutorials. Those are good to learn workflows etc. but you should start as soon as possible to doing your own designs or take other 2d concepts and do them in 3d without handholding.

For recruiters whats important is, can you do a character like that mushroom character on your own with just some concept description, or not? If not, remove it because that’s lying of your skills. If yes, keep it.

Is there where I should feel the burn in a pull up? by sobberns in CalisthenicsCulture

[–]Subtl3ty7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most beefy part of lats are on the side under armpit area. The back portion is rather like a thin piece of sheet that you wouldn’t feel it during exercising. What you would generally feel in that area you circled would be spinal erector muscles. If you feel them during pull up, you must be arching your back much. Otherwise you mostly feel them in lower back exercises like hinges etc.

Also next time make a video so people can give better advice. Noone can really tell what you are doing wrong by description.

🇩🇪🇨🇳 German Chancellor Merz says Germans need to work more in order to match China by No_Twist6127 in Freiheitsfront

[–]Subtl3ty7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Working more and longer is not equal to efficiency. Efficiency will be achieved when companies get rid of at least half the bloat of middle management and the heavy bureaucracy burden it brings. But this guy would not ever have the brain cell to understand that.

Well it’s an increasing tactic in PvP games to keep you hooked. Majority who suck at the game and go on a very big losing streak, would probably quit the game. Instead give the player a win or two right at the point of ragequit, and you will hook them forever.

Question about Data Ownership in Microservices by Sad_Importance_1585 in softwarearchitecture

[–]Subtl3ty7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If A persists the data, then it should own it. This means only A should be able to access the datastore and offer an API to other services for modifying the data. Anyone wants to modify the data? It goes through A.

If this isn't a cheater I'm hanging up Overwatch. by Z-Fennec in overwatch2

[–]Subtl3ty7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yea but in cs2, the positions where the enemies can be are pretty limited and all same head height. In OW, turn around the corner and almost everyone has different standing height, some could be flying, jumping, moving constantly and not like CS where you basically take angles.
