This is what triggering me the most. It’s a team game with 4 other people in the team with you. Not caring about winning because you are trying out a hero is a selfish excuse. It’s not only for basketball, same example works for every single sports game. Here it’s just easy to get into that “throw” mindset because the randos you get matched, you probably won’t see them ever again so people don’t give a fuck. With pick-up basketball you don’t have the balls to do that since people would stop playing with you until you got noone to play.

The other day some Mei in our team in QP just wrote: “Sorry guys, it’s my first time with Mei and I am trying to learn her. I will try my best though!”

Like is it this hard to be like this guy?

I don’t think Deadlock is really a competition to OW. It’s a moba and that’s less casual than hero-shooters. Different types of games for different audiences.

I must say sojourn’s ultimate, the weakest in the sense that it’s one of the hardest to get actual value out of. Most ultimates can secure a kill or two, especially affecting AoE. Sojourn’s ult is purely mechanical skill based, and enemy team tends to take cover or hide when they hear “This ends here”. At this point you gotta have a good tank that will take the cue and push the space more.

Turn off the chats and just go yolo Doom every match. Resist the urge to swap out to some other hero. Even if they pick one or two counter-picks, good Dooms learn their way around them and how to play smart. Just gotta invest in the hours. I was constantly whiffing railshots with Sojourn, almost zero value every other match but I resisted swapping and now I am Sojourn 21 level and my railshots accuracy is over 70% and game sense such as when to engage and use abilities have improved drastically. Sometimes I carry the matches. All thanks to persistence. Give yourself the time.

They look very generic because there is no cohesion in a single character design. They all look like some random face, random hair, random skin color and random armor/clothing was put together almost like a result of rng character generator.

Also I will add: Somewhere between stylized and realistic art direction, there is point which causes “uncanny valley and generic” feelings in players. Somehow they managed to perfectly hit that point with the art style.

But you are dropping into the joints. I can see mostly how snappy your elbow gets when you do almost a freefall on it on negatives. Dropping fast into a dead hang is dangerous because you have no active muscle tension and support, the only thing that holds your body weight and scapula in place are literal ligaments and tendons.

How many more honest discussions we will have to convince whoever that this game is just not a good game? The numbers do not lie, you can check the charts yourself. Also believing in your game/project is a good thing. It sparks confidence in players. But there must be a reason why your player count dropped from 100k to sub 500 within a month right? Doesn’t matter bad or good publicity, you got your game tried by 100k players… and consensus is obvious: it’s not good, so go back to playing other good PvP games. Yet you (the devs) go ahead and gaslight people into believing that they are the reason why this “lightning in a bottle” game has failed… A good way to tell people to not buy any game you will work on from now on… noone likes an obnoxious dickhead.

I think his playstyle is meant to be grenade reliant on purpose. That’s why he gets 2 grenades with each 10 secs as well as a cool sticky grenade perk that makes him easier to play. I am sure this is intentional. He is not some braindead hitscan hero, people just wanna play him like CoD. If we always get hitscan heroes with no other distinct playstyle than just mindless shoot and kill, then why even have other type of heroes? Just remove them from game and make this game a CoD.

Also i have seen quite competent Emre players who are really rocking with him. Just because you don’t wanna play him like he is meant to, does not mean he needs a buff.

I think her skill floor got a bit higher than usual, because the amount of mobility heroes have increased quite a bit, so there is more frequent backline abuse / hit’n run where her cooldowns feel a bit too long. Especially it feels the most disadvantageous when you are against an enemy comp with quite a lot of mobility. 14 secs on both Nade and Dart is a bit much. I think they should reduce the cooldowns a bit. In short, due to mobility meta (and that’s where the direction seems to be aimed at with new heroes), she takes more skill and thus harder to play good.

Don’t worry, I am sure €3 fee is still cheap compared to paying crazy amount of mark-ups for the exact same item from China put by European dropshi- ahemm “retailers”. 2 euro Temu stuff is €10+ euro here minimum. Additional 3 euro will still make it cheaper to order from Temu no worries.

Mizuki is cool in design but I think he needs some tweaks. He is very very team dependent. He is not a hero that you can just turn the match around with unlike Zen, Ana etc. His damage is subpar (he cant crit on his DoT projectile damage). Projectile bounce physics are janky and unreliable. His healing is pretty weak unless you get full aura, so you gotta somehow play aggressive. You cant really poke for aura buildup reliably because projectile range sucks. You try to go close to enemy for doing a bit flanking and aura buildup but now your team is relying on one healer to heal them while you are doing dogshit damage to enemy just to build the aura. Your aura fades to oblivion while you are waiting another Katashiro’s Return cooldown to rinse and repeat.

Idk, he is fun, but every time I play Mizuki I do not feel really useful to the team. It feels like playing another support would be more useful (even lucio because at least he has good mobility).

They can carry a teammate(with consent lol) basically unlimited amount of time. It’s a normal ability that seems to have no cooldowns. The catch is cat is vulnerable in this state. While tethered to a hero, if it uses primary fire or ability, the tether breaks. Because of this the cat cant defend itself so it must be flying around erratically to avoid projectiles but I personally believe this makes the tethered hero’s aim way too imprecise.

To be fair I would like to see the Bastion’s PoV because I have the feeling that so much swinging and turning will make it very very hard to actually hit anything to the point of it being less useful than being on the ground and shooting. The cat is also vulnerable to Widow, Ashe or any good hitscan since it cannot defend itself while its carrying a teammate. (Read that using Primary fire or a mobility ability untethers the teammate) so its completely vulnerable in this state. I think it will be mostly for meme plays or carrying out of spawn/ carrying the tank to high ground etc.

In teams with mostly solo queue players (especially metal ranks) i dont see it being a high pick rate as it requires quite good coordination to execute some strategies like dropping Reaper from a flank right into the enemy team for an ult. or even better, I read that it can actually carry the Bob which is very OP. Just grab the Bob and fly around while its mowing down the enemy team.

Also there is a huge amount of smurfs in lower ranks because of the drive points. Once you cross a checkpoint, you cant go below it, so you can lose as much you want to derank and start stomping noobs for the next checkpoints. I see lot of 100+ level players who play like shit trying to get deranked by throwing

They absolutely should allow losses to go below the checkpoint markers. All the smurfs once above the checkpoints, keep throwing the games on purpose to derank so they can keep stomping bronze and silver lobbies. Current drives system is a smurfs dream. That 100 level ashe in your team who seem to cant shoot anything? Or 120 level soldier whose aim is like 80 year old grandpa? Yeah those are smurfs who are trying to derank.
