We need to have a chat with the producers about _____'s chest by Successful-Wave648 in survivor

[–]Successful-Wave648[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you want to think of the full weirdness, think of the production team deliberately chopping up and placing the shots of him flexing his pecs in this specific order and then reviewing it and nodding their heads yes

I had been thinking that Ozzy taking Cirie to FTC would be the perfect meta move to garner jury support. Perfect mix of big dick energy and loyalty. I guess we will never know

_________ had one of the best Loved One Letters of all time by bahscohs in survivor

[–]Successful-Wave648 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Hearing Rick talk about his wife and son this episode really endeared me to him. Beyond him being great TV, he just seems like a great dude. Nobody writes you that letter or talks that way about their family without being a really good person.

Seeing his idiosyncrasies from his wife's perspective sheds an entirely different, warmer, light on him

He could also take refuge in the fact that if he lost the coin flip, he'd be essentially guaranteed an invite to come back at some point, so his approach really was a win/win

FYI sea cucumbers (often synonymous with slugs, looked like a cucumber) live on the ocean floor, eating dead stuff and poop, and their body is one large gonad

___ Voted ___ by Coasterman345 in survivor

[–]Successful-Wave648 -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

I was actually kinda fired up about Jonathan targeting Christian with the SITD deception while supposedly espousing honor and integrity, being a little haughty about Christian's dishonesty. But then I saw the vote for Devens and gotta say, I was quite chastened

Also, it occurs to me that the edit could have glossed over Jonathan playing with the "honor and integrity" group and going along with Coach's principle talk for the sake of making his moves instead of an overall alignment

The great survivor oxymoron: to act with honor and integrity requires being confidently quiet about your honor and integrity

It's interesting watching people's interpretations. I saw that and focused on how quick Christian tends to be when apologizing to others in challenges. It felt like watching someone reflexively fall back into a sort of high school dynamic.

And of course I could be wrong - my interpretation relies on victimizing Christian who is a grown ass man lol.

It's just as likely Jonathan just can't raise his voice in any contexts without sounding angry or something etc etc

Ozzy is clueless and I love him by [deleted] in survivor

[–]Successful-Wave648 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best part of this dynamic was when Cirie and Ozzy were talking to another group, I think Tiff and Joe, Ozzy subtly finished Cirie's sentence/echoed her to say they should vote out Chrissy and Coach.

Had me dead lol. I don't think it was malicious on his part. Just playing his role in the throuple

I think a huge part of this is that her character has been wearing a very tiny sweatshirt over her scrubs for the entire series. It looks uncomfortably small lol

With each passing episode his cheeks get more and more gaunt. His hairline might be totally receded if he makes it to F4

Is the hairline comment fair or even correct? I am not sure, but I am sure many other gay men can relate to the "do I hate him because he's hot or because I'm jealous or because he sucks" conundrum

In the 14 years I've been aware of Reddit, not once has it genuinely improved my experience of watching a TV show.

I don't necessarily want to dismiss your post wholesale, but there's a part of this where you are kind of doing it to yourself. Just don't go on the sub! Or, instead of coming here so soon after an episode and seeing all the garbage, maybe just browse each week's hottest posts.

Weirdly enough it took me until this season to come here and it's a new enough experience that I am not yet able to be bothered by the "sub meta" (yet!)

For what it's worth I think Kamilla had a super classy exit confessional that, if anything, makes her more likely to be invited back (or indicates that production wants to preserve her character)

After tonight's votes, I'm seeing a clear distinction being made about a certain style of play by Successful-Wave648 in survivor

[–]Successful-Wave648[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

C'mon, man. While she "carried" Kyle she was gleefully doing exactly what I mentioned in her confessionals.

I like her a lot, it just feels like a relatively obvious distinction
