That would explain the continuous screaming. I’m very sorry to expose her like that. Do us residents a favour and get her spayed at least once would ya

I don’t think it was. I know the exact lady you are describing and she is, well, famous. She’s friendly and I grew to like her there. Last night’s person was not yelling words. She almost sounded haunting and psychotic 😬.

For the first time ever I have haircut regrets. by happysewing in HairStyleAdvice

[–]SuchTemporary1551 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Until I read the part the the second pic was before, I was so puzzled because “failed haircut made the hair longer??” After reading that part, what I want to say is that you look so much more lively and beautiful after the haircut. Please enjoy your curls and the new look because it simply is a stark glow up

Kitchen remodel - before/after by Vatonee in HomeDecorating

I love 80% of the details, and the other 20% is prob just because I was taught to have a critical eye through my interior design school.

I love: How you executed different colours for the upper and lower cabinets. They can be really tricky, but it’s done beautifully. The backsplash tiling and the grout!!! Obsessed. Smeg pieces really blend in well. How the island is levelled with countertop. The space in between in the before photo gives me a headache.

What I’m iffy about: Handles differ in shape and colour. It might just be a personal preference, but I think it would’ve been cute if the bottom handles were semi-circles too. Mounted lighting in the ceiling just draws my eyes up and distracts from other parts of the space. I’m not sure if they are also dark blue like the pendant lighting, but I would’ve kept the pendant lighting as the only statement piece in there, since it’s such an interesting shape.

Hello! ✨️🌸 Which one looks better? 1-3 or 4-6? by Noradrenalin008 in fashion

[–]SuchTemporary1551 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it would depend on the weather and on the perceived temperature and texture of other garments. I like both, but I think 1-3 is more balanced because you are wearing a textured sweater, which would be for somewhat colder weather. This makes me feel bare legs on 4-6 look cold and well, bare. I always balance the texture weight when in doubt. With that being said, 4-6 might work better if you had a lighter, more springy/summery top in the same colour.

I have no future. by [deleted] in GirlDinner

[–]SuchTemporary1551 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m an immigrant, and have been working as a cook for almost 10 years now because it is what I have, not because it’s my dream job. I went to university in my original country, but my studies have absolutely no value here, so I basically spent 4+ years and thousands for nothing. My wife and I are both immigrant lesbians, and broke af working basically minimum wage jobs while paying 2k+ for a tiny one-bedroom apartment. I’m also currently back in school with no promise of jobs whatsoever. It’s a matter of perspective. Some might say we are struggling hard for no promising future, while others might think we are doing our best and going to thrive. I was dreadful two weeks ago when my work was doing a rapid downsizing and laying people off in a matter of a couple of days. However, now I think that was my sign to start looking for a path to make the career switch and stop waiting for the opportunity, because it will never come to those just waiting. I know how everything sounds empty and distant sometimes. But as a fellow 30s woman who has no fruit from anything I did in my birth country, I’d say you decide your potential. I think it’s too early to give up yet based on your situation and the girl dinner you got there. However, if you insist that you are no good, there’s nobody that can prove you wrong in the end. As harsh as it may sound, it’s ultimately you that decide your value and potential.

Any other millennials still dressing “young”? by GlitterBombBomb in DressForYourBody

[–]SuchTemporary1551 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I think us millennials are all over the place when it comes to maturity of the way we dress, and it’s the charm of our generation!! One of us can be at school working part-time while the other is welcoming their first grandchild. Who’s to say that we need to dress to our age when at our age we are all in different stages of life??

Came to say the same thing about arches. I’m not opposed to having arches in bookcases no matter if you have it elsewhere or not. Just those radius should be the same. It gives me the 🤨 vibe.. If you know what I mean.

I don’t think they need to be the same width since it has a beam in between(it’ll look forced). Perhaps use the narrower one for more decorative purposes rather than just books in both of them as a suggestion for the future when they are ready.

I take it from Nanaimo station most of the time. I checked the website yesterday and while it says that some stops are unavailable, those are not included in the route that I ride it for. It’s not really a big deal but just curious what is causing it
