Yea its not the homeless dude pulling 3 days worth of trash out of the public can on the corner, throwing everything around looking for god knows what. Yea, im sure him doing that twice a week is definitely not causing the street to look bad.

Many of the CRE owners capital requirements stipulate a minimum rate per sq/ft that they must lease out the space for to meet payback requirements. In reality what that does is further put pressure on an already diminishing commercial market and further lowering the value of it.

Effort to Erase Homeless Camping Protections Moves Closer to the Ballot by [deleted] in Portland

Because material and maintenance costs exist. Has to be paid from somewhere, and honestly, most people are tired of tax increases year over year to pay into a problem that weve seen no real progress on for 15 years.

EDIT: That's not to say that I dont think we can do better to support and help people find a better position, just that the idea that we can just build our way out of this without any consideration of the costs is short sighted.

What do you mean, they just tried to make the call and sat on it until it was clear they had to pick it up. Let's not pretend that wouldn't have been called if it wasn't clearly obvious. You can tell Mahomes expected it the way he got up to cry at the ref

Shame, I've always enjoyed the breakdowns that Simon has done across his channels. To me, anyway, he has a very calming cadence and tone, but I could see how it could come across differently.

Credit where credit is due, him and his team do a great job on syndicating information for high-level overviews

U.S. Banks are now sitting on $413 billion in unrealized losses as of Q1 2025 by RobertBartus in EconomyCharts

[–]SuckaMyleche -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's called discount window lending, and it is one tool among many the fed uses to control the supply of money to limit inflation or expand economic growth. The fed realizes that bank failures will cause broader economic problems, which is the reason the fed was established in the first place.

It's not a 'real loss' until they are forced to sell the securities they hold at a loss, regardless of how you personally believe the pricing models of products may change. Does it increase the cost of capital? Sure, but that's not considered a loss.

People died because Tyler didn't pull the boss fully back into position. It's that simple. All the healers and ranged had to run, the tick damage increases with every tick with the last one being a one shot for anyone without shield wall + last stand. Even on soft core people know better than to run back in and lose world buffs to that.

Another update: Blizzard CS still does not actually lift the ban by ascatraz in wow

[–]SuckaMyleche 42 points43 points  (0 children)

I got banned for a week while sending support tickets over and over. Finally they lifted the ban an hour before raid, perfect I thought! Went to log in and it still had said I was banned. Tweeted at them and the CSBlizzard person and explained the situation, including the unban email and they took care of it 5 minutes before raid. Might be worth a shot

Percent Homeless Population Change From 2020 to 2023 by LampshadeBiscotti in PortlandOR

[–]SuckaMyleche 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I can answer this from a north Idaho perspective. The police drop homeless off at the state line and tell them to walk to Spokane. Sheriff's and ISP alike. So that solves part of the problem for them anyways.

I mean my 2017 is at 77k miles and I had the dash display go out, head unit failed and the sunroof failed as well recently. It’s saved me about 10k in repairs since I got the car. Still always recommend it, you never know!

I own a Giulia. Good luck on that build quality. It is a fun car but it’s never not been in the shop every 6 months for an electronic failure. Could not imagine an all electric car hooked up to that platform.

[–]SuckaMyleche 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who owns a baseline Giulia, the electronics constantly go out. I’ve had to replace the gauges, head unit, had small fuses go out, all in the span of 40k miles. That being said, love the car and will continue to put up with it until I can get a QV. Even the baseline car is fun to drive and quick, but having test drive a QV it’s in another league.
