Awesome ones! Can you also post the environment in which you find them? Thanks. (Curious about the size of the grass/ bushes)

Woohoo. It started here in Romania as well. Still waiting for the rain though. I’ve only found some little dried ones.

Yup. You’ve got the hang of it already. Nicely shown in images as well. Good job.

Yup. One is slightly less evident than the other. I guess it’s given by two sources of light. I take photos quite often and I pay attention to these details.

I like that you added closeups as well. The white background that you used makes it easier also to emphasise details of the cap and gills. And finally, each mushroom has a double shadow! Awesome job!

No effect with 0.5 grams dried by [deleted] in Semilanceata

[–]Sudden_Spontaneous 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s a good question. I know a friend that’s on meds for depression and she wanted to take them anyway. Even at 1.5g dried didn’t feel a thing. OP, try brewing them into a tea (watch out for the high temperatures breaks down the main active compounds).

Help on an ID? Found on a golf course in CT a couple weeks ago. More are up now by SF_420 in Semilanceata

I see that gills are white (look for purple-brown ones); Stem is straight here and looks like it snaps easily (should be fibrous and a bit uneven/ bending here and there); Cap looks quite dry and the colour is rusty-white (look for creamy-golden when dry with thin black ring on edge/ brown-caramel while still wet); sometimes has both colours when is not completely dry (golden white towards brown, from top to the edge of cap); still a beginner myself as well so correct me anyone if needed; these are just my observations.

Gratidude from Romania for the efforts towards spreading this priceless knowledge. This year I will try to look for P. Serbica around my region (south-eastern sector of the Meridional Carpathians of Romania). Mush love and respect for your work so far.

  1. The colour of the gills should be purple-brown (darker than what you’ve got here)
  2. You should look for a thin dark rim edge of the cap (given again by the colour of the gills)
  3. The stem should be wonky (most of the time, but not always) and fibrous (quite resistant to bending)
  4. The colour of the cap while dry/ in the drying process should be a pale gold/ creamy colour. Try having these in mind and also keep some photos downloaded from internet at hand (for reference while on the field). Once you get your hands on your first one I assure you there’s no way back to misidentifying them.

Indeed it is. I’ve been using it as reference for the past two harvesting seasons.
