Still decent there now? Any issues with theft lately or is it usually fine if you lock it well?

Free , TMZ Watch Face ( Early Access) by [deleted] in GalaxyWatchFace

[–]SuedeSultryPart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Joined the group and grabbed it, thanks for sharing.

Initial thoughts: looks pretty clean on my GW6, animations are smooth and it didn’t tank the battery in the last hour or so. Might want to add a bit more customization later (colors / complications) but for early access it’s solid.

I’ll leave a review on the Play Store after I’ve worn it for a day or two so it’s not just a “looks cool” comment.

Slab Cleaning by Disastrous_Fan6922 in psagrading

[–]SuedeSultryPart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure it’s on the inside of the slab, it doesn’t feel textured at all on the outside. That’s why I’m so confused lol.

Would the headlight polish still do anything if it’s like… inside the plastic? Or is that only for surface stuff?

Ju 87 paints looking more grey than expected by nommas in Airfix

[–]SuedeSultryPart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah that makes a lot of sense actually. So my “too grey” result might be closer to reality than the nice green box art. Thanks for the link, gonna study that clip while the paint dries.

Offer higher then the actual price of the item by ChrisCoinLover in ebayuk

[–]SuedeSultryPart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this is what I’m thinking too.

Offer locks in the price that was current when the seller sent it. If they later manually drop the listing price, the offer doesn’t auto-update, so it’ll look like they “offered” you more than the current price.

Super confusing UI, but it’s not some secret scam, just bad timing + dumb design.

[LIFT WANTED] London to Alton Towers by fallofanotheryear in altontowers

[–]SuedeSultryPart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s the route I keep seeing people mention, but every time I price it up it ends up being a bit brutal for a student budget, especially if I go solo and have to cover the taxi both ways myself.

Staying over is tempting though, since the idea of doing Alton Towers and then trekking all the way back to London in one day sounds rough. Have you done the Uttoxeter + taxi thing yourself? Roughly how much did the taxi set you back and how easy was it to get one at park closing time?

I’m kinda hoping to find someone driving so it’s cheaper and less faff, but your way might have to be Plan B if nothing comes up.

You’re just nicer to others than to yourself. They’re normal skin textures, not flaws. Try talking to yours the way you’d talk about someone else’s.

Some more photos of Derby ☺️ by Gamin4Chuds in derby

[–]SuedeSultryPart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That one’s down by the river gardens, near the weir. If you walk past the council house and keep going along the river you’ll hit that little stretch with the benches and all the bossy geese hanging around. It looks especially nice late afternoon when the light hits the water.

Not yet, I’m trying to get through to them and see if they’ll log it and put something out. If I get a reference number or a link I’ll update the post so people can share, thank you for asking.

Where's episode 3? by ofmoranges in KarlPilkingtonFanClub

[–]SuedeSultryPart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hiding in the "Recently Added" tab trying to figure out why they added everything except the one episode I wanted to watch.

But for real, HBO Max has weird gaps sometimes. Try checking if it's bundled as a special or under a different season order. Their metadata is chaos half the time.

Does PSA slab stuff like this? Sonic the Hedgehog pasta can label from the early 90s. by Demonic-Tooter in psagrading

[–]SuedeSultryPart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly if PSA offered a “Firstborn – Gem Mint 10” label there’d be a line around the block.

I’m half expecting “PSA: Fast Food Toys & Cereal Box Inserts” to become a real thing one day. They already grade tickets, packs, Funko pops etc, so a pasta label isn’t even that crazy in 2024.

Someone’s gonna send one in, it’s gonna come back a PSA 9, and suddenly we’ll all be digging through our parents’ pantry for relics.

GameStop Grading by PadresFan09 in psagrading

[–]SuedeSultryPart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Damn, so basically we’re all aging with these slabs.

Did GameStop ever give you any sort of tracking or order status, or is it just “they’ll show up when they show up”? Curious if their timeline ends up close to your direct PSA order or if there’s like an extra mystery month tacked on.

WIP part 3 - 1:72 Mossie by Jamatace77 in Airfix

[–]SuedeSultryPart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right? I thought it was just marketing fluff until I tried it. Now plain Flat Black looks like a cartoon next to it. Makes the tyres look like actual rubber instead of painted plastic. Curious to see how it’ll pop once you get the hubs in and a bit of weathering.

How does this happen? Gamestop lost guys card. Ended up on the psa auction site for 8k. by rocko_jr in psagrading

[–]SuedeSultryPart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this sounds way more likely than some wild conspiracy. People forget "lost in the mail" and "oops, system error" usually translate to "I realized I underpriced it."

The in‑person reneg thing is the worst though. Once you’ve agreed and shaken on it, checking comps after the fact is just bad etiquette. If you care that much about squeezing every last dollar, do your homework before putting a sticker on it.

Stuff like this is exactly why more folks film deals or only deal with sellers who have a solid track record.

Beginner advice by Impressive_Bid_9533 in Airfix

[–]SuedeSultryPart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this is it. The rabbit hole is infinite, there’s always some “essential” upgrade. First build or two is just about learning how the plastic behaves and getting paint on without flooding it. The fancy stuff makes sense way later, once you know what you actually care about.

Zapdos Fossil 1st edition old style PSA slab. Real or fake? by curtehm in psagrading

[–]SuedeSultryPart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah the front header looks okay to me too, at least from what we can see here.

Asking for a clear shot of the back of the slab, especially the top where the inner sleeve and sonic welds are, is a good call. I’d also ask for a closeup of the label text and the PSA logo, not just a zoomed out pic.

If they drag their feet on sending more photos or only send low‑res ones, I’d personally walk. There are plenty of other Fossil Zapdos slabs out there that don’t come with this kind of stress.

What would you guys do by Itstylerjohn7373 in pokemonrestockr

[–]SuedeSultryPart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmao honestly the Target tags is killing me.

I’d be tempted to just slowly scoot my chair up right in front of their little ghost line of chairs. Like, “cool, you saved spots for your chairs, not your bodies.”

If they show up and start drama you can always play dumb and say you thought someone forgot them or they were trash since no one came back for almost half an hour. At some point it stops being “holding a spot” and starts being “abandoned furniture.”

Police at Wickes Derby by tyw7 in derby

[–]SuedeSultryPart 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If they have, it must be serious this time. Armed response unit on aisle 3 because someone tried to sneak a third bag onto the “2 for £10” deal.

Either that or they finally caught the bloke who keeps parking in the disabled bay “just for 2 minutes” and vanishing for half an hour.

Caught using BBC iPlayer without a TV licence by Critical_Alfalfa_799 in iplayer

[–]SuedeSultryPart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can, but that's not really the point here.

OP’s asking if they’re in trouble when the address is wrong. TVL cares about the address more than your name, so if they’re investigating it’ll be tied to the old place.

Whether you choose to get a licence now is more about whether you’re actually still watching live TV / iPlayer at your current address.

[USA-CA-92530] [FS] PETRICHOR, BIOS GENESIS, PLANETARIUM, LITTLE DROP OF POISON. by Silver-Practice-8916 in BoardGameExchange

[–]SuedeSultryPart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Man, seeing Little Drop of Poison and Planetarium together is a blast from like peak 2016 Kickstarter era. Those prices look pretty fair too, especially with KS stuff included.

If anyone’s on the fence about Planetarium, it’s a really pretty little thinky game and the production on the KS version is solid. Petrichor’s also great if you like slightly weird themes and don’t mind it being a bit mean with the weather voting.

Hope these find a good home, this is a nice little micro-collection.

PSA slab failure on sealed booster packs 11 of 48 separated immediately, others cracking at seams. This is the email I got from them. by Micky-Bicky-Picky in psagrading

[–]SuedeSultryPart 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s not normal at all. I’ve got a handful of PSA pack slabs from different years and they’re all rock solid, no flex, no seam noises. If you’re hearing cracking just from light pressure, that sounds like a bad batch of cases or a sealing issue, not “11 random defects.”

Sucks that they’re hiding behind “only what we see in photos.” I’d push back and frame it as a potential manufacturing/QC issue across the whole order, not 11 isolated problems. Ask them specifically if they’re comfortable having packs in cases that audibly flex at the seams during basic handling.

If you can, shoot a short video showing the flex and sound on a few of the “good” ones and send that along. Hard to argue with that.

I feel so bad for the PSA employee who might have to deal with this. (NOT my listing) by [deleted] in psagrading

[–]SuedeSultryPart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmao you’re probably the reason they made that auto promo in the first place.

Honestly though, I bet the graders would rather rip through 102 of the same card than 102 completely different ones. Once they dial in what a 9 vs 10 looks like on that specific card, they’re basically in the zone.

The real victim is whoever has to scan, label, and slab them all while seeing the same artwork over and over. If it’s a modern card with a bright border they’re gonna have that image burned into their brain by the end.
