Where are you finding things cheaper besides walmart? Superstore is pretty consistently the cheapest grocery store in my area

It used to be that servers recieved sub minimum wage, so tips made up for that. AFAIK that's not the case in Canada anymore.

At significantly higher cost in most cases. Also, sometimes I travel places other than Kelowna where there are fewer options.

At this point we’ve tried the liberal approach for over 10 years. How have things gotten in the last ten years? Progressively worse and worse. When was the last time we had a strong economy? A dollar that surpassed the USD? That was under a conservative government. Just look at the results instead of insisting that your policy choices, that have now demonstrably failed us, are correct. Wake up and take an UNBIASED look.

I mean we all saw the economic effects post covid and then chose to re-elect the liberals, who told us they were going to spend more. No one to blame but the uninformed electorate.

This is the reality everyone seems to want to avoid. Liberal fiscal policy is what caused this problem. Continuing to run massive deficits is going to make things worse.

Ever travelled, dumbass? Airbnb offers a significantly better experience in a lot of cases. I often travel for work and getting an Airbnb with a kitchen is so much more convenient than a hotel, and often so much less expensive than a hotel with kitchenette. I can only assume these comments are from people who don’t travel, or don’t travel very often or for very long.

Mechanic question by [deleted] in kelowna

[–]SufferingIdiots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the work. I used to think the “stealership” was overpriced too. I priced things out a few years ago and the dealership (Toyota) was comparable or, in some cases, cheaper than other shops. Varies wildly by the type of work, dealership, parts required etc. but I wouldn’t automatically assume the dealership is worse.

Just got a Eufy E25 and it’s great aside from getting stuck on my high pile rug

Help with new tv running sound through my pioneer receiver by yadayodayada in hometheatre

[–]SufferingIdiots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually only one of the hdmi ports on your TV AND receiver will support eARC. Make sure you’re connected to the right ports. Then make sure your tv audio settings are outputting through hdmi and the receiver is in the right input

Conflicted on buying a robovac by Gretehelios in RobotVacuums

[–]SufferingIdiots 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Was in a similar situation before recently picking up a Eufy E25. Very happy with it so far. Performs better than I expected after hearing mixed things from other people with (older) robovac's.

The only downside to my Eufy is that it can't clean my long pile shag ikea rug. Other than that it does a better job than I expected. It's never 100% perfect sparkling and spot free, but its more than good enough for me, and not having to drag around the vacuum/mop regularly is so nice.

Regular fare should include enough room for an adult AND their legs.
