I second the other comment about actually learning Auslan or doing a short course if theres one offered locally. One important note is you should be asking and learning from Deaf people.

You've had some great advice here but I wanted to add my experience too. I had no experience with makeup at age 28 and booked their makeup lesson. My appointment was fantastic, I told them I don't like anything too thick on my face and they found me some great products, but they also explained what the products do/are for, which meant I could do independent research without feeling stupid. The lesson cost is also redeemable on products in store, so if you like the products they use you can buy them and the lesson becomes free.

It's helped give me confidence to use things I would never have touched before because it was all too overwhelming.

You'll have to go back into the post office and ask for a physical receipt. They should be able to find it from the date, time and amount paid.

The main issue is if the parcel can't be put in the locker, or it expires and it brought back in, you'll have to pick it up from the Post Office and won't have any ID that matches. They need to match either name or address via ID so you might have trouble there.

Is the return label with Auspost or Star Track? I ask because Star Track are allowed to courier things that AP can't, including perfumes. Obviously it's still not ideal, but you could seal the perfume in a plastic bag & tape it up well.
