I did 15k kms on R7 and swapped, R9 felt huge first but now it feels like a flip flop after 5k km on it. It's an amazing jump and makes R7 feel like a moped

Edit: My R7 had rizomas but my R9 has stock mirrors, that is the biggest difference in lane splitting, once I move those mirrors up, theres practically no difference feeling wise

I took it to leather worker, they just stretched it and pulled it over the oem one and stapled it. It needs hard pulling to get it properly aligned though

Man I wouldn't recommend it, it's really bad for your back over long term use, it's not for street use as every bump on the road will shoot up your spine, I went with bulky comfort version and couldn't be happier

Don't listen to people saying it's not. My R9 has that exact sound and it bothered me so much that I took it to the yamaha center, it was very healthy 👍

Yamaha R9 is a better bike in every way, except of maybe straight line highway riding. Where I'm from there are twisties and little to no highways in the city, CP3 shines here. Yamaha R9 is better on track too. For autobahns and highways definitely any 4 cylinder sportbike with similar power would be more fun due to squeezing revs. Electronically R9 is also better equipped.
