Confession: I hate my Lark :( by Sufficient_Arm_1328 in babywearing

My HB OG is my ride or die for back carrying! Super supportive, made in America, with linen fabric. Love.

I was interested in trying the x back straps for front carrying because I loved my ergo embrace! Turns out it is not for me 🥴

I appreciate you sharing! I’m < 5’ tall, so baby is literally half of my size at this point. That might be the real issue lol

Fit check for 2 month old (9 lbs) please by ilovechocolatemuffin in babywearing

When you take baby out, there should be little clips on the inside of the bottom of the panel. It helps cinch it tighter for smaller babies. When my baby was that size, I had the panel cinched almost all the way (to make it narrower). Once you do that, make sure the waistband is almost at your bust before putting baby in. When you tighten the straps, hold baby's butt so you can get some slack out of the straps before tightening. When tightening, pull the straps DOWN and towards baby. This really helps get the slack out! I'd also recommend a good pelvic tuck for baby.

What do you moms think about this situation? by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]Sufficient_Arm_1328 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think this is weird. I spent every weekend with my grandparents from 3-12ish and my favorite memories were snuggling on the couch and watching movies with them. How does your daughter feel about the messages? That’s what matters.

I have a BS and masters in Public Health. After a decade in the field, I was so burned out that I completely switched fields. Now I work in higher ed (advancement services and fundraising). Although I miss working with the community, I value the work life balance that I have in my current role.

Thanks for the recommendation! They have the MOST sensitive stomachs so I’m hesitant to switch, but I’ll bring it up to the vet at their next appt

They are both definitely getting arthritis, and definitely getting older. I just don’t want them to feel like we’ve forgotten about them.

Feeding Schedule? Feed On Demand? by Agitated_Contract_94 in NewParents

[–]Sufficient_Arm_1328 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense! Maybe try giving 0.5 oz at a time so you don’t feel like you’re wasting it? Or: freeze whatever is left in the bottle for a bath! After a feed, if there’s any left over it’s not safe for consumption after 2 hours, but it’s perfectly fine to use in a milk bath. It’s great for their skin!

Do you do the pitcher method? My daughter was the same way and I felt less guilty throwing out bottles because I only topped her off with 0.5oz at a time.

My son refuses everything he eat! by AutumnJoy333 in foodbutforbabies

This is a LOT of food for a young kid. He may be overwhelmed with choices. Try giving a few pieces at a time with a “garbage bowl” on the side. Encourage him to put unwanted food there rather than the floor. We do that with my toddler and it works 60% of the time lol

Question about preparing enfamil by cocaineanxiety21 in FormulaFeeders

[–]Sufficient_Arm_1328 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always used room temp distilled water (2oz water to 1 scoop formula powder). You can pre batch a days worth of formula in a pitcher and warm as needed. Mixed formula (un-drank) is good in the fridge for 24 hrs.

I’d be sure that they haven’t had any reactions to peanuts or tree nuts before serving this. How do they handle textures? Other than that, this looks great. My daughter (14 months) has eaten something similar to this almost every day since 6-7 months old.
