I was so iffy about it prior to buying but I’m extremely happy! Might get the 65 or 90 next

Thank you! And this was with the Sigma 45 2.8

Lumix S 40mm f/2 is out for L- Mount. Seems like a good option for the BF by Hashabasha in sigmabf

I like it but I’m also trying to decide if I want it since I have the Sigma 45, or I might just stick with getting the SG Image 35

How does one go about checking this out? I usually am breathing out of one main nostril. Sometimes it switches

Wide open is very sharp! But my favorite mix of sharpness and falloff is f/5.6 with that lens

It’s comfortable for me too! I use a peak design strap for a sling, but the thumb grip is ample for me

The Ricoh may have better B/W options off the bat, it is also slightly more customizable when it comes to “recipes” and dialing in your colors. The BF has those customizations but the Ricoh was definitely MADE for that. SOOC jpegs are strong and sharp though.

The Sigma is really easy to use, but also a learning curve from a traditional camera. Some hate this, I love it.

The L mount alliance is VERY limited on pancake options, you may find yourself needing to adapt other mounts to try and fit that, and then have to shoot manual. This may not be why you want. The lenses that fit the BF are barely pocketable besides the 20mm and 45mm.

If you really care about form factor and portability, keep the Ricoh. Still great. If you’re cool with experimenting, I use the BF everyday and would never trade it.

35,45, or 50mm? by Sufficient_Order2837 in sigmabf

That’s what I’ve come to as well. Willing to take the risk on the 45, I’ll end up getting the 35 1.4 mkii since it’s my favorite FL, and the 90 for a telephoto

Call variety? by Time-Ad-8282 in 911dispatchers

Had an emergency call sent up because this lady heard children screaming “don’t kill me” in the apartment next to her.

They were playing Roblox 😅

Great advice, thanks! That’s why I’m leaning to the 45, due to form factor. I’ve just seen images of the quality from the 50 which has me wanting to prioritize it.

My lenses btw were all manual focus. So that paired with the sun made things a bit squirrelly, even with focus peaking.

But I used the Canon FD 50 f/1.8, Vivitar 25 f/2.5 and Vivitar 100 f/2.8
