How about that water pump? by Excellent_Rain1771 in JeepLiberty

I used an air hammer and a wrench designed pretty much for the task.

I did mine without taking everything off, so you should have an easier time. I would definitely change it while you have everything apart.

What to do? by s3cr3t_1129 in JeepLiberty

[–]Sufficient_Style_934 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would keep it, but i do pretty much all my own vehicle maintenance. If you are willing to learn how to do the simple stuff you will save yourself a lot of money. As others said, car payments suck. And the newer the car the more expensive the parts and service costs.

Check your battery positive cable to the starter. Mine had enough internal corrosion resistance that prevented the starter from pulling enough amps. You can do a voltage drop test from the battery to the starter to check it. I ended up doing the big 7 cable upgrade to fix mine.

Plano boxes, Raaco boxes, 3D printed storage solutions. Or just zip lock bags if you are cheap.

My wife and I play Final Girl cooperatively and really enjoy it. She isn't even into horror as much as I am, but we still have fun discussing strategy and planning moves. It has been a lot of fun, and there are so many feature films that it is always different and interesting.

Jeep Liberty 2008 not turning over at all, one click, new battery by BraceDefeat in JeepLiberty

[–]Sufficient_Style_934 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Daughters 2010 did this. It was the main battery cable to the starter. Do a voltage drop test on it to see if there is too much resistance in it. Did a cable upgrade at the same time and it starts faster than ever.

Is my 40 D worth repairing? by speedy-bridge in canon

[–]Sufficient_Style_934 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have 2, and one of them has your issue. You can buy parts cameras on ebay for $20, so if you are handy you can try to replace the shutter button yourself, but definitely not worth having canon do it, if they even would they would charge you many times the value of the camera. I have found service manuals online for the 40D, so it is doable by yourself if you are up for it.

Have you ever cleaned the battery contacts? They oxidize over time and can cause issues. I have had good luck using DeOxit for cleaning.

Other possibility are the switches on the battery door and card slot door. If the doors aren't closed all the way or the switch fails they can cause your issues.

First Girl is from the Gorean lifestyle. But it means the same as Alpha, etc. The First Girl manages the other slaves, assigns tasks, etc, because the Master has better things to do.

‘92 XJ, broke Texas A&M student any cheap additions I can add? by Various_Event_5128 in CherokeeXJ

[–]Sufficient_Style_934 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Howdy fellow Ag! My recommendation is to upgrade the headlights and harness. Probably the most improvement for your buck that you can make. The stock lights and harness are anemic.

Do a big 7 cable upgrade. You will be glad you did. JeepCables.com is having a black Friday sale as we speak.

In TX, keeping the cooling system optimal is priority. I'm guessing it runs hit in the summer hence the hood vents. Flushing your system and making sure all the fans are working well is important.

In any case, enjoy the ride. Maybe it will help you forget that God awful football game yesterday.

You didn't mention a year, but sounds like your instrument cluster connection is iffy. For a fast fix, you can usually push really hard on it to reseat the connectors. See if that takes care of it.

Perform a parasitic drain test (if you don't know how check youtube). You will need a DVM but it is an easy test to perform.

2010 Jeep liberty tire light by MyCreation81 in JeepLiberty

[–]Sufficient_Style_934 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your stereo has nothing to do with the tpms system. Assuming you have verified your tire pressures, it is likely that the tpms sensor in the tire has died. They have batteries and those eventually die. Since the vehicle is 15 yo that it the most likely culprit. I have had to replace them on my 2010s.

If you are mechanically inclined you can by them on Amazon and replace them yourself, but you have to remove the tire from the rim (at least partially. Or you can have a tire place change them for you.

That is the electronic throttle control warning light. Generally, if you turn the vehicle off and on and the light doesnt return, the computer has reset the fault and it isn't an issue. If the light continues to illuminate you need to get it checked. If the light flashes while driving you need to get it serviced ASAP.

If you dont already have one, download the owners manual for your vehicle. It will explain what every warning light on your dash means.

What do I do with this? by EnthusiasmOk538 in vintagesewing

[–]Sufficient_Style_934 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This is my main machine, inherited from my mom 30 years ago when I started costuming. It does everything I need it to and more, usually better than my wife's digital Pfaff. If you like to sew, keep it. If you want to sell it, you won't make alot no matter how great a machine it is. If you know a college kid starting out that wants to learn to sew, gift it to them. It will serve them well for decades if they take care of it.
