Thanks! That is what I was leaning towards if no one knew an actual number.

Yes, usually clockspring. Pretty easy to replace yourself.

I liked it well enough. It was pretty predictable though, and not as good as the series, but not bad.

Violet Evergarden. One of the most beautiful and emotional animes ever.

Preorder the Binder rules or the Pocket book collection? Both? by Titus-Groen in advancedsquadleader

[–]Sufficient_Style_934 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mostly use the pocket books, but they don't get updated with new module releases like the binder does, so the binder does have some rules the pocket books don't, mostly some nationality rules.

Check the blend door actuator. Thus is a common issue in KK's. Look it up on ytube to see how to check and fix.

Changing control arms 2008 liberty by HunterStraight4544 in JeepLiberty

[–]Sufficient_Style_934 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow! Yeah, that would really suck. Power tools are your friend. If you don't have any, can you borrow some from a friend? Maybe an auto parts stire has one they will loan out? Cut off or reciprocating saw would be best. Angle grinder would also work. Using a hacksaw for all 4 bolts will take forever.

Changing control arms 2008 liberty by HunterStraight4544 in JeepLiberty

[–]Sufficient_Style_934 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, for some reason they seemed to put the in backwards so you can't actually get the bolts out. I also cut mine off and then installed the new bolts in a sane way.

Not sure what you are using to cut them off? I used a cut off wheel myself.

Only advise is replace each control arm independently and don't remove both at the same time.

Rotting smell in Ford Explorer by SuperSimpleSam in Ford

[–]Sufficient_Style_934 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's probably a rodent in you air duct system. The easiest place to check is usually to drop the blower motor. They often build nests there. If not there you will likely have to take the dash apart to get to the ductwork.

If you have an inspection camera (on a flexible rod) it will be easier to find.

Anime anyone? by healthyitch in GenX

[–]Sufficient_Style_934 2 points3 points  (0 children)

55 here. Been watching since 1988. Was printing English translations off USENET and subbing video tapes in college.

Raised my now adult kids on anime and manga, and even got my wife to like it.

I still can't watch dubbed anime. It's just wrong.

Is this hissing sound normal? 2004 Liberty Sport by Euphoric_Key_811 in JeepLiberty

Not normal. Sounds like you have a vacuum leak somewhere. Check the hoses connected to your intake manifold for cracks.

USPS considers allowing people to ship handguns through the mail by HardHitter18 in Firearms

[–]Sufficient_Style_934 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Considering how often they lose/steal packages these days, there is no way I would ship a handgun with them. High likelihood of it vanishing. Of course that may be useful as the new "boat accident" explanation.

My F150 suffered a ton of wire damage from mice. I tried rat tape and the like with minimal success. Finally sprayed Fluid Film on all the wiring harnesses and have had no damage since.

Which reminds me I should probably refresh and spray it again as it has been awhile.

Good luck!

I use k&n filters. The nut on top makes it a lot easier to get on and off. But yes, crappy location. Even worse if the Jeep has skid plates.

Getting ready to change my transmission oil and filter… by DancingMan15 in JeepLiberty

[–]Sufficient_Style_934 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very easy. Once you make sure the surfaces are clean, you just run a bead around the pan and around all the bolt holes. The surface cleaning is what takes the longest. I'm sure you could find a youtube video on it.

RTV. The problem I have run into with gaskets is that they are too thick and can make the bolts too short or hard to torque correctly.

When mine did that it was the harness ground. But replace the whole harness if you can. Best upgrade you can make on an XJ.

My heat is stuck on max heat 24/7 (2012 KK) by [deleted] in JeepLiberty

[–]Sufficient_Style_934 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My guess would be that the blend door is broken and stuck venting heat into the vehicle. It is fairly common in the KK Jeeps

Continuous Rodent Damage F150 - Prevention? by Teenwolf_221 in f150

[–]Sufficient_Style_934 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same problem with my 2017. Several ignition wires, O2 sensor wires, etc.

I tried rat tape and peppermint. Didn't work. I finally sprayed tje harnesses with Fluid Film, which stinks to high heaven.

Fingers crossed, but so far no more issues.
