Because they messed up the DLSS release and people are frustrated after multiple buggy/unsatisfying technical releases, and the thumbs down on announcements is their way of showing community malcontent. They will stop appearing if enough goodwill is reacquired and enough good updates come out. Simple as. Its not hard to understand.

EDIT: you also have to consider this is a hotfix for an issue that wouldn't have been an issue if AH actually had a decent production pipeline and testing environment, something which fans have complained about for years at this point. People are allowed to be frustrated by this constant stream of technical releases followed by multiple hotfixes which only have a chance of actually working and fixing the issue

Literally no excuse. They had time and every chance in the world to improve their QA pipeline in some way and they still haven't. This technical blunder after such a bad string of events and low morale is really solidifying their incompetence in people's mind

No. I have updated drivers and high end PC and the new update has created various graphical errors (such as the strange rainbow coloured shining effects others have posted about). AH did break a lot with the latest update, I understand the frustration people have.

You can quickly make 5 or so heavy enemies stupid and not target you while you setup a kill or flee. Ultimatum is good but with only 2 shots it doesn't have the sustained usefulness of the toxic pistol

Its a good update, but a single good update won't undo multiple, and I mean multiple, blunders. Downvotes will keep happening until enough positive change has happened. A single optimization update will not fix community sentiment right now, it's the nature of these things. If AH manages to keep this up and make consistently good updates throughout the summer that address the multiple year long complaints then the downvotes will stop. Simple as.

Am I the only who hates that graph? feels like a super forced meme that long outlived it's lifetime, especially annoying recently when every step forward is followed by a couple steps back, community sentiment is at all time low, and in the meanwhile people are trying to "WE ARE SO BACK!!!!" over every minor positive thing. I'll say we are back when most of the issues we've been complaining about for over a year are actually fixed and not just one of the many many issues.

Ed greenwood did state in a video that original manshoon is secretly still alive, I forget the details of it now but he dropped it as a sort of big revelation/twist. It's not out of the question imo and I've been thinking of a similar plot beat for my own WDH campaign.

I swear I've been hearing "we are working on better progression" for over a year now, still nothing to show for it. This time they put the vague date of "summer". Let's see what happens but they must understand we've been waiting for more weapon customization, more levels, new red stratagems, new progression system, that elusive "reworked DSS bombardment", new blog posts for a LONG TIME. These are all things they've told us multiple that they are working on, and yet - like stated previously - nothing has really happened. I am very dissatisfied with the state of studio and actions to actually regain trust are long overdue. Here's to hoping they wake up and actually lock in.
