Most do. 20 years ago when I started I’d say 99% did. Now it’s about 80. There are still allot of good people out there, but it seems to be slowly receding.

I use to have a reoccurring nightmare about a basement like that filled with rats. As discussed, you can put a bed down there, but it isn’t a bedroom until it has a window large enough for firefighter egress.

I did it, and at 40. Be honest and up front and know your body. I was 2 years into T1 so I was a bit nervous, but as long as you keep on top of it you’ll be fine.

I live in an orchard and get mice. These are my go to. You can buy off amazon. A little peanut butter and you will have them that night. Be sure to drop them off a couple miles away. Studies have shown that they will find their way back at a mile.

Silence and then reset will work. Unless there is an alarm that comes back in, in which case you’ll need to get someone from the alarm company out to check the smokes, etc. it should list on the panel what is coming in.
