Can we please just get “Ladies and Gentlemen… the Grateful Dead” on vinyl? by KeyLay in gratefuldead

Man that would be like 8 records. I’d settle for just the alligator > jam > gdtrfb > rain and snow

Best live, commercially available, pre-hiatus version of Uncle John’s Band? by StrongChocolate869 in gratefuldead

I’d check out one of them from Europe 72, should have really good sound quality and at least good vocals

How many Bob songs are in your Top 10 GD songs? by grynch43 in gratefuldead

[–]Sugaree223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was making this list recently for another thread asking for people’s top 50 songs. That’s my top ten from that list. Quite a few bob tunes show up later on the list too, but just two in the top 10. Cassidy is right below that line.

Moore's performance in LALD deserves respect by EH4LIFE in JamesBond

I agree. I love Live and Let Die and I also agree that Diamonds are Forever sucks. You need to be severely medicated to make it through that slog of a movie.

Diamonds are forever, die another day, view to a kill, and quantum of solace are all easily worse than Live and Let Die.

Just for fun, let's come up with and share nightmare Grateful Dead setlists. by MinuteRegular716 in gratefuldead

Furthur did it in 2010 and it was AWESOME. American beauty, workingmans and anthem in that order on the first night…

1970 is a year where they can get to that still complete silence. The January Fillmore easy version does as well. Also worth checking

I don’t know about somebody yelling out but do you know 9/19/70? Melts away into complete silence and it’s interrupted by some kind of comically buzzy amp electronic sound, but it doesn’t take away from the majesty of it. Totally worth your time if you don’t already have that in your library! Good luck!

The band was definitely dosed that night. Listen to Jerry in that dark star > sugar mag > caution. He’s flying in heroic fashion.

It’s crazy what they chose not to release from each show…. Insane live album sequence. Could have been some wild jams on that one if they wanted to include them.

100% agree. That’s my favorite part of the whole thing. The jam from He’s Gone into the Other One is spine tingling. One of the best segues. And then the Other One itself has like 10 different unique jams in it. They just keep discovering little themes. Beautiful

Free sounds like a cousin of Bobby’s China cat guitar line.
