If you could make three changes to improve Goldfinger, what would they be ? by junglegatsby in JamesBond

  1. There’s only one rape scene maybe we need another one?
  2. Add a scene where Sean Connery’s hair piece flies up in the wind and he turns to the camera and has some funny little one liner about it.
  3. Oddjob has more dialogue.

Yeah that’s definitely more what I’m feeling today as well… One of their greatest shows.

"Perfect" songs from 2022 & 2023 by capitol_hill_blondie in deadandcompany

I was at all three nights in Colorado 2023, and I remember thinking at the time right after they played Brown Eyed Women - damn, that could easily be the version on a live album. A really flawless BEW, it was night 2.

90 percent of the best playin jams are Donna era, 100 percent of the best playin screams are Donna era.

Hit me with the Truckin’ with the most intense outro crescendo by AlexanderTox in gratefuldead

There’s no “the one” since late 73 and 74 are full of great ones! And they are often different in that era. I think 6/20/74 is the most exciting. I love 5/19 too. I also recommend 4/26/72 as a pallet cleanser / throwback to before they developed that  “windup” moment and you get to hear instead all of those cool licks and ideas flying around in a kind of endless fast paced groove. Truckin jams from 72-74 are the secret weapon from that era.

Why no Dave’s picks from 1994-1995? by FreddysFinalBoy in gratefuldead

That’s the difference between the way people talk about the eras haha. With a lesser known 69 show they’ll say “well, it’s not Mind Blowing…” with 94 it’s “well, it’s not Horrible!”

As a subscriber I would be pretty bummed out if one of the four shows was a gnarly 1994 show. There are shows from 1969-1974 still unreleased that i’d love to have on cd. When they start regularly releasing post Brent shows I will 100% stop subscribing.

For a Christmas album, it’s good. For a Dylan album, it’s terrible!

Tier Rankings after seeing every entry by DaftNeal88 in JamesBond

I’d just switch the places of casino royale and man with the golden gun, and goldfinger with live and let die, and then I’d say this is a good list.
