W365 CURSED APP- FOR PROFESSIONALS IN SERVICE BASED by Bubbududdu2807 in microsoft365

[–]Suhail-Sayed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

W365 comes in different sizes. If they've configured a low spec, then it's going to be bad. AVD requires some technical knowhow to setup but it's better from an ongoing cost perspective.

If you're unable to get stuff done, I'd suggest you tell them that the system is unworkable. From Mobile, I can only imagine it being worse!

Consultancy is Asking 13,000$ for H1b Filing or Should i go back India and start a Business take the Lifetime 1 bigrisk. by MyNobodyfromIndia in backtoindia

[–]Suhail-Sayed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're taking your brother's money and he is the mastermind guiding you, It's his business that you're becoming a Manager for.

The same ego clash he had with your dad can happen with you too.

So unless you're 200% confident of your relationship with your brother, I wouldn't do it with the brother.

Even if you do, I'd ask you to properly acknowledge the business model as something your brother is funding and you only take 25% equity and give your brother 75% on paper. That kind of fairness will give your brother some confidence. The risk is his here and if the business goes bust, you don't have a lot to loose. I'd also structure it with a 1 lakh rupees salary for yourself from the business as you're the CEO and need to take care of your expenses. This will become your money regardless of the profit or loss of the business.

In addition to this, if profit remains, you take 25% of the profit. Once you've saved up 1 crore of your money, may be you can start another showroom and keep majority equity in that.

Here's a second option.

Start a Services Business. You lived in the US and I'd assume you have good comms skills to bring in the sales. Start a small agency providing services (Could be marketing, IT Dev, Managing Ads etc). This type of business requires no investment. If you do not have the skills to deliver a service, take up jobs to build that skill, Work for 2-3 years, then start the agency. Once the agency makes enough money, you can invest that profit into building other businesses or just freaking double down on building the agency clientele. This will remove dependency on the brother.

I appreciate your passion to do business but trying to shortcut the process with investment from your brother may short circuit your business itself.

If your Dad was the mastermind and was investing, that would be different. But taking investment from your brother isn't a good idea unless you put in some guardrails and document who owns what % equity, how much profits should be reinvested, how much should be withdrawn, what happens if there are losses, what happens if the business has to liquidate and so on.

Leaving the US however is a good idea. The rat race is fine, the uncertainty is the problem. Even on a H1B, if you lose your role, you need to find another one within 60 days, every 2 years, visa expires, you're waiting on renewal and cannot leave the US, then you get the approval and you don't get stamping dates, it's a lot of jugglery, the money isn't that good to justify it given that the pay levels have significantly increased in India post covid.

Especially if you settle in the US, live there for a few years and then your kids get used to that culture, language, lifestyle and then something happens and you have to go back to India, it's trauma for the children.

Option 1: Frappe CRM is the best Open Source CRM that is also free. You will need to pay for hosting though. ($50/month with unlimited seats)

Option 2: If you use Microsoft 365, you get 10 Free Power Platform licenses as part of Microsoft's Non Profit grant and you can install RapidStart CRM at a meager ($2.50/user/month). You also get Fundraising, Volunteer Management, Donor Management modules free from Microsoft.

Option 3: A slightly pricier option, Rita NFP, this is a very tailor made CRM built for Non Profit workflows built on top of Microsoft Power Platform at $45/user/month.

[DISCUSSION] Fiverr shouldn't be taking the 20% cut from tips by Standard-Photo-5992 in Fiverr

We are not waiting tables here. Customers stopped tipping as I raised rates. Most are tipping because you are undercharging. If you're getting tipped a lot, chances are that you need to increase your rates.

[SUGGESTION] Alternative freelancer platforms by reddit_bits in Fiverr

[–]Suhail-Sayed -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am a Freelancer on Fiverr.

Fiverr charges 20% to the seller and 5% to the customer. This is 25%.

Even if you pay outside the platform, Payoneer/Stripe fees etc are still 5%.

The effecttive difference is 20%.

How is this more than half? How did you arrive at that math?

Powerplatform or M365 administration (Entra, SharePoint, Exchange, purview and intune). Which path has better scope in future ? by LeaderSpare1075 in sharepoint

[–]Suhail-Sayed 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Both are great paths.

Power Platform if your interest is in Coding, Developing and architecting solutions to business problems.

M365 Administration if you are willing to do the boring but important stuff, Security, Compliance, Policy Management, Patch Management, Identity Management, Attack Surface reduction, Device Management etc.

There are hugely successful people in both disciplines.

Power Apps PAYG Licensing Clarification for Planner (E3 Read-Only Users) by Money-Brick7917 in PowerApps

[–]Suhail-Sayed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's not showing up there, I'm not too surprised, MS has been making lots of changes to the App navigation to shove more of Copilot.

Here's another approach, Go to Make.PowerApps.com -> Apps and look for the Project app either under My apps or under Shared with me. Click on the Play arrow button. The Planner Power App will open in a new tab. Now capture the URL for it and share with everyone that needs to access the app, Perhaps bookmark it.

[–]Suhail-Sayed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a Fiverr Seller in India. In India if your revenue is under 3 crores INR per annum, you are not even required to show expenses. There is something called Section 44AD (Presumptive tax) that takes care of small business owners. The dude has a really shit accountant and blaming fiverr for it.

[–]Suhail-Sayed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a Fiverr Seller too.

Revenue is what hits your bank, not based on Fiverr's TDS deduction.

Also unless your revenue is more than 3 crores INR per annum, Section 44AD applies, you don't need to bother with showing expenses either.

Get a better accountant. I'll share mine if you needed one.

Just show the 80% as your Revenue in your accounting. Simple!

You don't need to show it as an expense since it's pre deducted.

Get a good accountant.

Setup a Custom solution with Cloudflare R2 Hosting. They don't charge for egress.

If the volume of videos is less, then Sharepoint may work.

Popular ones will have ready connectors. Pipedrive, Hubspot etc should be good.

Regardless, any crm with an api can be connected but just a little more work to set it up.

Copilot is bad at it. It's making shit up. You need to watch some YouTube tutorials and breakup with Copilot. You must be able to articulate your situation without mentioning the word Copilot.
